Well done boys the only team to have 60 + put on them this years. Pretenders

Kudos to Seyfarth 54 tackles and May 50 next best 29 Api and Twal. The other pigs were way off the mark. Samuela Fainu was atrocious today 9 missed tackles, from 29 attempts, proper shit effort.Staines 6 missed tackles but there were other times when Melbourne broke the line where he didn’t get a hand on an attacker, should never play NRL again. A real lack of composure from senior guys when the chips were down. Really needed to shut up shop when it got to 10nil so quickly complete sets and focus defensively instead they panicked and really let Melbourne run roughshod. So poor

They deserve some credit. It looks like Seyfarth was moved to the middle. I think that is where he is best but he has been great all season and he has been on an edge.

We were rolled by Melbourne. I'm hopeful we were just flat and they were on fire. We'd had two wins in a row and we aren't a good enough team yet to actually get more than that.

f**k off, these losers won't come close to 9th
They’ll learn from this. What happens at this level when you don’t turn up with the right mindset. Has been a bit of it this year, although this was a proper flogging there been a few half decent teams get 50plus put on them this season. Need to turn it around next week Latrell was red hot the other night and he will smash them if they play like they did today

Im really dissatisfied with Benji, he’d have been better off leaving the team as it was last week with Bird on the interchange bench. Bird has been pretty good in that utility change role this year, he could’ve then either had a go with Naden at centre on that side and moved Staines back to the wing, or could’ve ripped Staines off when it was clear he was being splattered and put Bird at Centre, that right side was as poor as I have ever seen it defensively today (even worse than when Benji and Nofo were defending there) and they bombed two tries at 10 nil.
I don’t think Benji has his head around contingency planning at all.

Was it just Staines ? I only saw the second half but to me it looked like that whole edge were terrible apart from Sukkar. So Turuva, Staines and Galvin just weren't working together.

I don't think Bird or Hunt have been good this year so I can sort of understand what Benji did. You can move Seyfarth to the middle and replace him with Sukkar.

I don't know what you read into that game other than we have a lot of work to do. I want Galvin sacked but I didn't think he was any worse than Luai out there.

Staines 100% the problem, no commitment wouldn’t come forward, didn’t know which way to go, the proof is in the fact that that side has been reasonably solid all year, Staines the only difference. Paps had him shitting himself. Staines is not an NRL centre never has been, he’s a winger and in very dire times maybe a fullback. That’s not to say we didn’t have dramas all over the park today, but that right side was torn to shreds nearly everytime they went that side they made at least 20 if not 30 metres.

Hope Benji quits in the press conference. Sign Geoff Toovey 😂 I have liked the way Benji has talked this year, but every game there’s been some reason to criticise him, whether it’s use of the interchange, playing blokes out of position or chopping and changing the team around without good reason. Fiddling with the team all the time doesn’t work, look at the knights keep f**king around with halves like we did for years it just doesn’t work. NRL is not a place for experimental changes, if you’re building a team you lay a foundation and tweak it based on your strengths. We won last week with Staines on the wing and Naden in the centres and Bird rotating it should’ve stayed that way. Guaranteed 60points would not have been on the cards

I only saw the second half but I saw Galvin coming in and leaving Turuva and Staines on 3 players. I also saw Turuva being destroyed by Coates. Staines looked the best out of those 3 to me. You might be right I just find it really hard to judge.

There was so many other problems as well. It was dismal. We were getting rolled in the forwards and destroyed by their halves and fullback.

The big issue to me with that game which is a complete write off is that we had won 2 games and the team needed to step up but we did the opposite.

We need some impact forwards. Hunt and Bird on the bench aren't contributing much. To'a, Skelton and Latu coming into the team will improve us.

Bird didn’t play today, but he gets through a shitload of work in defence and is handy in attack, he has been our best off the bench all year. Royce Hunt I agree 100% 3 hit ups for 29 metres and 13 tackles in 29 minutes is ordinary. One hit up every 10 minutes. Hunts signing surpasses Adam Blair’s for the worst tigers signing of the 21st century at this point, although we probably didn’t pay too much for him. Things may change.

I don’t really go for the ‘impact’ player logic, blokes who are fresh off the bench coming on against blokes who have busted their arse for 20 or 30 mins should all be making an impact.

I agree but if we had someone like Nelson it'd be huge for us. I just think we were rolled in the forwards and then killed in the halves.

While we got flogged today, I don't think it will or should define our season.
We are 5 and 5 with 17 games to play, that includes 3 byes.
We have to be and have shown we are better than this, still a long way to go.
I'll remain confident for a while yet.
