Perth/NRL WA still has the rights to "Pirates" don't they?

Could easily use that for the Qld Cup feeder team, if Burleigh objects to them using the Bears brand in that competition.
Pirates and WA Reds. Western Reds is owned by someone else. Elite Jnr sides could be called either if playing in nsw comps. Makes no logistical or cost sense to be playing in qlnd comps.

Just like it makes no logistical or cost sense for Fiji to play in NSW JF comp? By the way there’s about 15min travel distance from Nadi to Sydney compared to Perth to Brisbane.

Before you reply with “but Perth would need to then fly to Cairns or Townsville etc” yes it’s a further 2 hour flight. Once Fiji lands and has to go to Canberra, Newcastle or Penrith to face those teams they also have to drive a further 1.5hr - 3hrs.

People are working for WA’s RL benefit. You think Fiji or their fans are complaining about the opportunities they have been given because of travel? After a couple of years, the silvertails are finally starting to come good because they get to face good opposition to develop their players.

Likewise, you think Hunters or their fans complain about being in Q-Cup? You realise their travel, although more streamlined in QLD, is still a pain to get to areas like Mackay or Rockhampton or Sunshine Coast.

Appreciate it and stop complaining about things you have 0 clue about. The WA juniors will get a chance to play in the two elite junior development areas in the world. Amazing opportunity to keep developing local talent until such time the local league resembles something half decent.

Why are people pulling their dicks over this basic bitch design?

It's a straight copy of a Kiwi Jersey
I'm glad I'm seeing others here question it - if not outright call it bad.

I've seen so much positive reaction elsewhere on the net, I was starting to think I was crazy.

It'd make a great Kiwis jersey, but no sense for the Warriors.. despite the Chatham Islands Black Robin story.

IMO we really need a green alternate - we've had plenty of blue jerseys, white away jerseys & at times red away jerseys, but apart from the greenstone heritage jersey and a khaki ANZAC jersey we haven't utilized that part of the club colours as much as it should be.

Take it to Christchurch!!!!

Yeah, interesting one, the Rabbitohs are unique in the Australian professional sporting landscape in being a team that is strongly associated with Indigenous excellence, no other code in Oz can come close.
You`d think it was almost worth the NRL paying them to take regular games to areas with large Indigenous populations to foster the games support there and further take advantage of the decline in Indigenous representation in the fumbles playing ranks.
It was only a couple of years ago that the west coast fumbles` team coach said that Indigenous players weren`t worth the trouble and that they should stick to recruiting out of private schools.

Think it was Perth red who said on the bears thread that some of the wa govt money for juniors will be targeting aboriginal remotr communities in wa

Could be a good talent pool to tap

No NZ team except the Kiwis should use a predominantly black jersey except as an occasional one-off. Warriors should just use this one when they play the Dogs as that’ll be a potential jersey clash with both teams using similar blue and white strips.

Ok. I don’t see them every week. But from last week to this week I liked last weeks jersey vs SGI, but really liked yesterdays.
They wore the home strip vs SGI. We’ve really cut back on the number of jersey designes these days, it’s pretty much always just the home or away strips, as it should be. Other than that we wear the Pasifika (indigenous strip) once a year and there’s a black strip that’s been released this season that I assume is a one-off. Not sure if we’ll use the white retro away strip from last year this season (it’s cool though, I’ve got one).
