Crighton, Leniu, Watson, Collins and Toia (sensationally) all out for origin.

Sharks have no origin representatives

Whyte and N Butcher injured

This should be a massacre.

That's ok though, we should get a bye or two the final 2 origin weekends. The NRL wouldn't make any team play all 3 games without origin players would they?

This is the first time I’m talking injuries about my Club only because I keep hearing about everyone else’s injury problems or rep player problems.

1. We have the following unavailable for our team at the moment. Katoa, Ramien, Stonestreet, Hiroti, Hazleton, Rudolf and Wilton. Most of them when fit are in our run on 13. We’ve won 5 of our last 6 with our depth and we’ve hardly played at home.

2. If you have a lot of rep players in your team that means you have to accumulate wins before rep season. Hell the Storm and Panthers have had this issue for years. Didn’t stop them finishing in the top 4 for a long time. They either built up wins before rep season and/or had decent back up players for when the time came. If your squad is too top heavy then that’s poor roster management. If you didn’t rack up the wins the team is just inconsistent and shouldn’t be anywhere near the pointy end of the ladder.

Fair play on their injury stuff.

The 2nd point is garbage because A) those two clubs you refer to both have 2 byes before origin this season and B) I'm not complaining about playing games without origin players, that's a necessity of the draw with how it currently runs. I'm merely questioning why any team doesn't get at least one bye before an origin game. Don't you find that strange?

Yes definitely inequality.

I am a Rooster hater usually but feel a bit sorry for them taking on a rampant Sharks who aren’t affected by Origin at all. The draw and scheduling around Origin time really needs revising.

Last time the Roosters played Cronulla up in Gosford it was a slaughter 44-12 to the Sharks at a sold out crowd in 2017.

Expecting a Sharks win in this game but hopefully it wont be like the last Gosford game.

I just took a look at your forward pack Horrie.

This will get ugly.

I think it is a bit silly that some teams are not getting a bye during the Origin period, it could be shared around.
But
The whole draw has been a bit buggered up in regards to the byes. From this weekend some teams are having their second bye ( Storm, Dargons, Cowboys and Titans) whilst the Sharks, Raiders and Dolphins haven't had one yet, some teams are getting their first this weekend (Broncos, Rabbittohs and Tigers)

Let's look at where these two teams have travelled this year because of the draw

Sharks: Las Vegas, Townsville, Perth, Canberra, Newcastle, Brisbane

Roosters: Auckland and Brisbane with 7 games in Sydney and a bye.

In the end, no sympathy for Easts, wear it and get on with it.

I think when you don’t get the bye before Origin it depends who you’re up against how bad it will be. If you’re playing another team depleted from origin or a shyte team that you can scrape a win anyway it doesn’t hurt you.

Roosters lucked out facing us. The experienced Storm pack struggled to contain our pack. Men against boys this weekend.

I thought the Knights Smug game would be the worst of the round.

Then I saw Makahesi Makatoa names as an NRL starting prop in 2025 and now I'm not so sure

The club ain't complaining about it, I'm having a whinge as a fan.

That travel schedule is the sharks fault. They volunteered for Vegas and took home games to Perth and Brisbane.

I'm not complaining about that schedule, and neither did the Sharks, you know why? They've known about it ever since the draw was released and have structured accordingly.
The Roosters have also known about their non byes since the draw was released.
You think your team have prepared for it? Youd hope they would have.

Souths have won matches this season with more players missing than the Roosters have out tonight. So, no excuses eh? ;)
