Galvin v the Tigers

The best part about this whole Galvin news is Paul Crawley!

Yesterday he was having a whinge how the NRL allows him to go to the Dogs for $750,000 while the Tigers offered him $1 Million + how is it fair?

Well, that Muppet seems to forget literally 2 year ago he had a go at the Dogs because we couldn't attract stars who would go to the Roosters/Storm etc for less and how we had to pay overs... At the time he called us a rabble now we are cheats? Idiot

These 'journalists' are an embarrassment! This whole thing is a witch hunt on Gus and the Dogs... Headlines like the dominos are falling, NO THEY ARE NOT! Sexton was never going to be given another contract however he will see out this contract unless he wants to leave, this happens all the time with every single club! Same thing with Reed Mahoney, he will see out his contract (ends 2026) unless he finds another club, his manager wanted permission and it was granted, Reed was never going to be signed beyond it with or without Galvin!

All you guys dissecting every single word Gus has said are looking at it with your Bulldog/Gus hatred eyes… Keep the hatred guys, in the mean time we will continue to do our thing, our supporters will continue to support and the powerhouse of the NRL are back in our rightful place with another 60,000 + crowd for our next game could hit 70,000 while you other Sydney teams continue to be happy with 10,000 at your suburban shitholes.
I'll pay you on the Crawley stuff, he is a dead set fool.

However, you're having a lend if you think this stuff is all a witch hunt on Gus and the Dogs.

I don't hate Gus, the pod I never miss is Six Tackles, and I don't listen for Matthew Thompson. And I have nothing against the Dogs (maybe because in recent memory they've given us nothing to be against). But don't pretend like we're all playing the man and not the ball.

Given that some of the press is saying that Reed Mahoney is being told he can leave immediately, are they looking to play one of the halves (Galvin or Sexton) at hooker?

Lord f**k I hope so. Rheed is bad enough in D, can you imagine Bobblehead Sexton in the middle

I imagine this is going exactly how Gus envisaged.

Is anyone talking about Lachlan Galvin?

Yes, they don't think he can play 7 and nor can Burton. We'll see how that goes, if and when it happens. He's going to have the keen eye on every move he makes in that jumper and as we know with the media, if he's not a hybrid of the best parts of Joey Johns, Thurston, Cronk and Sterling, and winning every game off his own back, they'll be criticising the hell out of him.

Luai and critta are still very good mates

Given Galvins issues with luai then it could carry over to the dogs panthers contingent

Plus at 6 foot four he’s way to big too be a half anyway

We're buying back Brandon Wakehan to play hooker! True story

If they wanted a half to play hooker, they should have gone hard for Bunt.

Hasn't stopped Hugo Savala. Savala's 4 cm taller and 11 kgs heavier than Galvin yet he goes ok at halfback.

But Honest Ol Gus never met young Lachie

Deadset, masterclass in media manipulation. Complete with patsy for the Tigers fans for months on end. It's impressive

Add in the bye round and Origin to get the reporters distracted. What should they cover? Everyone is talking about the evil Gus Gould and less about Galvin.

Papers will report what sells and Gould is a click-bait magnet.

The only reason I can think is that he’s trying to distance himself from it, because in reality, he’s been part of cooking this up for months and months.
Potentially yeah, but would seem strange to lie over something so recent that he could get caught on easily.
