Can't complain. Good to see us have some respect for our line. Other than Martin and Nath tripping over each other, they had to work for everything. Looked like us casually grinding out yet another mid table team in June as we've done countless times in the past few years. Good sign, but we need 6 or 7 more of those in a row before I'm ready to believe again. Most of the team was very good.

I know Laurie on the bench is weird, but we have much better balance with Sommerton in the 14. Throw Garner and Papalii in ther for Huth/Laurie and that's very reasonable bench usage, something we haven't been able to say often the past few years. Schneider in cup is a bonus.

I’m surprised that people think the bench this week is weird. Lots of players out.

Ivan always has back cover to protect against an outside back injury/HIA. We have seen other clubs not do this and it really cost them, and then the insurance paid out for us in Vegas.

With Kenny playing 80 and moving into a middle/edge role the Somerton bench spot does not look too weird either.

Fully fit, Eisenhuth definitely drops out. I would like to see Patea keep his spot. Sorro back to the bench with Paps/Garner starting, with the other on the bench. I would like to see Cole be the 14 (assuming he can play some 9 in the event that Kenny has a HIA).

Question of whether you replace Sorro with Henry.

Good win in both grades, laurie on the bench is a waste of space. You can't pick guys on the bench you don't intend to use.We get tired late in the game and we are only using 16 players bloody joke. With Edgar and attard coming through the grades it's time to say goodbye to laurie.Hopefully Billy Scott can be fast tracked to 1st grade next yr im over kenny and sommerton both slow and take wrong options. We need to beat tigers and go on a roll. The top 8 starting to breakaway.

Milky = Rock Solid. I love him.

Is anyone still worried Blaize’s defence? Great prospect
He is definitely doing well defensively. Still tries to push a pass too much when he has a half break. But looks great overall.

Lots to work on in each of their games, but Patea, McClean, Talagi and even Henry (I would also add Cole) all look great prospects.

I think the challenges this year have been at the top end of the roster.

Best performance of the year. Parra were up for it and didn’t throw the game away like our opposition have in our other wins.

Great to see Talagi and McLean looking good in defence, Jenkins as well looked a first grader this arvo. Leota is warming back to respectable form which I think is a big part of us looking stronger up front. Couple backrowers back and bring that attitude every week and we’ll get our season back on track.

Magic Round performance was better IMO

They ran two tries down our right, the first was a gimme and the second they earned, but by the end of the game I felt that edge was growing in confidence, To’o getting his rush ups right and nailing fools.

In the sense that we outlasted and outgrinded then came home clearly the stronger it felt like a game of old, but honestly that was about it.

Our line speed wasn’t what it used to be. Our kick pressure was poor. We aren’t there and not looking like getting there this season. It’s a shame the young edge didn’t play, we need some spark from somewhere.

Henry was not missed, he needs to come back strong.

Dylan was so far above every player on the field. Man he was was everywhere tonight.

Bloke bleeds penrith. He was cramping from the 45th minute and somehow just kept being everywhere.

The commentators talked it up like some epic game.

To me it looked a bottom 4 fest..

Our right side defensive is just so bad.

Nathan gets sucked in way to easy..

We are losing a player (3rd man) laying in the ruck almost every second tackle.

I honestly think if that was a top 4 team we lose by 30.

Ill take the two poimts and move on. Our season is done folks
You’re a hard man to please. Our defence was fine tonight and will improve.

Discipline is my only real negative, we have to stop giving away this ridiculous piggy back penalties. It’s driving me bonkers

Both coaches spoke about Panthers scramble today. Shows there was something.

Those penalties are infuriating. Every set waiting for something to go wrong and hoping they can defend it.

Ivans choice of daine laurie on the bench is inexcusable.

Thats not a 4 time premiership winning coach move..

If he was worried pre kick off of guys backing up dont play them.

Soro and martin were sooo cooked out there and a spell wouldve done wonders.

We actually looked a bit better when sommo came on..he overplayed hes hand to much but he changed our attack.
I heard that Dyl wasn’t feeling great and in some doubt.
Not sure if it was injury or illness, just what I heard.
They may have been hoping to get a good lead and rest him.

Before the game in discussion with family and friends there wasn’t a lot of confidence we would come away with a win.

In the end it was rather clunky far from perfect but a decent win in what was a very hard fought contest.

It keeps our season alive so on that front happy days.

When we gave away the ball on the first set on their line I said to the TV "ok that's fine, just dont give a penalty away here... FUUUUUCK!" After another penalty, 4th tackle 6 again into soft try on the edge it was all looking very 2025. That was about as low as it got thankfully.

Basically the same here. Maybe they have some heart surgeon TPAs.
