Hasler hasn't been sacked and there going behind his back to try & stab him the back to get BA the gig.

On BA i got some mail over the weekend on why he didn't get the Perth gig which is quite funny actually.

Sounds like PVL was taken aback from some of the piss poor references some people have given about BA.

Not sure if the club were specifically asked but some people associated with him previously have shitbagged him out of a job by the looks.

As PVL was keen originally for BA to get it but then has had to pivot to Mal Meninga.

I like that Mal will get the Perth job over BA. BA is paying the price for never developing his personality and hence his media profile. You want a recognisable face over there who understands the importance of media. They are about the same level of coach. BA would be better suited to a job like the Titans.

Meh, this is Madge. This is his ceiling. He was kissed on the dick at Souffs when they bought him a team to win the comp and the game suited his boring style. Clubs think that Madge will be good becuase he will "toughen them up" but all he does is grind them out.

He killed all progress at The Tigers and just couldnt coach them and worse (at the Tigers) he couldnt build a team or a culture. Im sure Maguire has forgotten more about coaching than Benji has ever known but Benji has built a culture at the club that seem them fight for 80mins and our attack and defence has improved since Madge.

Madge is doing Madge things and his "style" was never going to mesh at the rockstar broncos.

Brown played well yesterday, but do we really need to spend nearly a million on someone similar? I’d rather invest in a strike centre and quality second-rower. Give Lorenzo first crack and teach him to tackle—we’ll be fine.

He hasn't evolved or adapted if anything he has just got more cranky.

They are such an exciting team to watch with fast young outside backs & tough hard nosed forwards who fight & scrap over a bone

I reckon they can win the comp and imo are a better chance then the Bulldogs.

Sticky can be a bit of a sook, which is annoying, but he can coach. At least when he joined us, he called out the plodders and made changes. I just didn’t like that he claimed he was in for the long haul while eyeing a return to Canberra.


Back then, I was less patient and wanted him gone. In hindsight, there were worse options—like Kearney, who came off like an overrated nepo kid. There’s one like that at Newcastle now with a similar win-loss record. Still, there’s time—he might yet become an immortal.

If we can score some faster athletic outside backs and second rowers we don't need to spend big on a 5/8.
