ALMOST AN EEL

So close was Galvin to signing with Parramatta, it’s understood that the Eels had a verbal agreement with his management team on Friday, May 23, that the rising star would link with the blue and golds.

Within 48 hours, Galvin had informed the Bulldogs he was headed to Belmore.

“I was back and forth with the Doggies and Eels,’’ Galvin said.

“I had a pretty big meeting with me, my family, (managers) Adam (Brahme) and Isaac (Moses) and we just went through the positives and negatives and put them all together.

“I wrote a lot of stuff down.

“I think if you write it down and look at it from both angles, both positives and negatives on the piece of paper — and I’m not saying there were more negatives at Parra, but I just came up with my final decision and it was the Dogs.

“Having mum and dad listen to what I thought was the best decision for me, I had their support and they were going to back me on whatever decision I made.’’

Of the 4 players you named, one doesnt exist, one played NRL for the Tigers before ever playing for Parra, one signed for the Tigers before ever playing first grade for Parra, and the last one is the only one who had played for Parra before signing for the Tigers and he had won a GF before Parra....so hardly sloppy seconds...

now lets discuss.....

Kitione Kautoga, Kelma Tuilagi, Joe Ofahengaue, Ryan Matterson, Zac Cini?

Jarrod McCracken
Michael Buettner
Jason Moodie

At least he has mates in the Media. And then we have MON and the backyard lawn edge Jim’s Mowing. Freaking amateurs.

all this Gus hate. The bloke is a proven winner. He brings success and knows a good footy player, and is savvy with his negotiation and does what it takes to land the deal. Our idiots know all about shit. They are experts with Ron Massey cup leftovers.

Gus is good at closing off deals and finding ways to financially support the club.

In terms of mates in the media well outside of his weasel mate Weidler and the puppets for channel 9 coverage in Bracey & Mat Thompson.

Its very hard to challenge Gus because as you saw last week he is very smart with the media that he can turn into a bully and intimidating that takes away the chance to be questioned properly and side track the whole thing.

Gus gets hammered by newscorp on a weekly basis.

Is he a proven winner yes & no.

He has systems in place that lead to success.

But he hasn't won anything since 2004 when he led NSW to an origin series win.

In Club land it's 2002 at the Roosters as a coaching advisor to Ricky Stuart.

Success tends to happen once Gus has left the building

he doesn't fall into them, he strategically chooses them. It's kind of proof of Pou's theory about resources.
