Shadow for me going to the football was a ritual when I was young I used to love going to the football walking to the football, making a day of it , now that Im a lot older back problems there no way in hell will I pay 40 bucks just to stand up. Also I think we need bite the bullet and use SFS as home ground, I don’t see my local member Speakman or ElenI for Miranda fund any upgrades for Shark park..

Walking to the game, goinf to someone house pre game for a few then standing on beer hill and sitting down in the timber sleepers at the summertime bar pre and post game.
Simple pleasures done away with now.

Brailey was shit. Lots of wrong options, terrible passes and got bumped off a lot of tackles. Haven’t looked at the stats but he seemed to miss a lot or at least make terrible contact.

yep. Forwards continued and will continue to be bullied. Said it weeks ago, Nikora is too busy trying to put shots on every second tackle for the highlights reel rather than just making solid contact and wrapping the ball up

The coach owns the pack. He signed or re-signed them.

The Sharks are inoffensive and wholly inconsequential in this comp. No one gives a flying that they have turned it up in the last 2 games. Take it them physically and they fold like a portable card table.

The coach has also pinned his hopes on this spine. Brailey had a blinder against Melbourne but that was an anomaly. Nicho and Trindall are like fighting 14 year old girls, not talking and getting more petulant every week.

The comment about the squad being stale is on the mark. The coach has made plenty of excuses this season, travel, illness, halves learning.... This squad is the most stable in the comp. They should know each other's game inside out. Familiarity has bred a lack of desire. The effort areas are shocking.

He wasn't as good as he has been in attack but he had to make 53 tackles! He missed 8 and had 4 ineffective. He was spotted and rendered ineffective. Where was everyone else while he was attempting 65 tackles?

Tieg was statistically poor as well with 8 misses and 2 ineffective. But he made 45. Another spot player for them.

Smells like being outcoached off the field and leaderless on the field as they couldn't adapt to the Wahs game plan.

Yes, ironic that they have, apparently (mentioned on FOX), used the least players of any other team. That used to be a good thing.

4 years with around 85-90% of the same players is worse than stale. That's gone past stale into decomposing.

Our ‘wrestle’ is crap - we get beaten in the ruck by all the decent teams, and some of the shit ones. I thought Fitz was some judo expert!
I’ve been saying it for a while, something is off in the camp - the togetherness and mateship that was there in abundance a couple of years ago is gone, they’re like a team of thrown togethers who don’t really know or like each other. I have a feeling Jack Williams was a big part of the mateship - one of the blokes who pulls everyone together.

- Billy burns lights a fire under a stale side and does everything asked - only to be dropped
- Atko. The guy is leaving. Signed and sealed. He offers nothing in the impact department. Yet is treated as a favourite
- Guys leave every club. Can't keep everyone. But fans seeing the name Healey on the other side and playing so well isn't healthy.
- And the elephant. The million dollar pay check.

I’d usually like to defend him, because he’s playing behind a pack who’re not winning the contact, and that makes his job real tough. But, given he tip toes into contact himself and is clearly scared of getting smashed, he’s lost my support.
When he joined us, he probably ran the ball too much, but he was challenging the line, he could break a tackle - now he looks like a rugby union half who’s shitting his pants and trying to get to the ground ASAP so he doesn’t lose possession or get hurt.
And then there’s Tricky, who doesn’t mind the contact, but also seems to have forgotten that a good half needs to be a running threat first and foremost, otherwise their runners are just going to get picked off.
Nice to see Brailey back to offering two thirds of feck all in the attacking 20. Just throw it to a big lad to get monstered.
Shite all round I’m affraid.
