Right. So we agree that the ref was arbitrary in his decision making.

And somehow that resulted in NSW being penalised 8-0.

Surely analysing all 8 penalties would be required to ensure that is a fair comment to make? Like I agree, game management by referees absolutely happens, but I also don't like how coaches will go 'they smashed us in the penalty count' like it's actually meant to be even, no matter how good or bad your discipline is.

Yeah I don’t think he would of got there, but where exactly was Stefano meant to go, in my opinion it was clear case of milking it by Carrigan.

Yeah this. He was getting back behind the play, that's fine and if he kept that up, no issue. But he deliberately took two steps backwards into Carrigan. Super stupid. Tbh he was terrible in general and shouldn't be picked game three.

Doesn't matter, you can't obstruct a defender.

Unless you're trying to argue, Carrigan should have tried to run around him, but that would be cooked.

One of the best plays in the history of the NRL in the 2023 GF.

He played the ball on the try line and back pedalled at speed to avoid any potential obstruction.

Stefano just isnt that sort of player.
