Bit of info sent me re stickers available at today’s game on the teaser branding we’ve seen

Although the official Perth Bears logo has not been announced by the Perth Bears, they have provided us their initial branding (which was first revealed at Origin last night) as they know the local fans are very eager to publicly show their support, they wanted to have something small available for fans now. (Especially those supporting the game at HBF Park – future home of the Perth Bears).

Had to chuckle when the question of 'if yellow would be added' was read out and it drew cheers from the audience!

I think the official colours will be red and black but some yellow and white will make it onto some jerseys at some stage. The numbers at the very least.

Cumins was the head of a Bears consortium that the NRL knocked back over a decision not to offer a license fee, at a time when head office was seeking a figure of about $20 million. However, he has accepted the chance to become a Bears director 30 years after his firm, Cash Converters, became the inaugural sponsor of the Western Reds.

Cumins said there would be plenty of corporates jockeying for the right to become the Bears’ major sponsor, but wanted Cash Converters to be among them.

“There’s certainly a chance,” Cumins said. “The new [Bears] CEO would be out looking for sponsors and we had indicated in our original bid that Cashies would like to be involved.

“We’re open for business if they knock on the door. We’d certainly consider it.

“It would be good for business and nostalgic for me personally. Cashies is a public company and they would have to go through the process if the Perth Bears wanted to deal with us commercially. But for me personally, it would be pretty cool.”

Honestly I am glad that Peter Cumins is on the Board, Cumins has done plenty for rugby league in WA and deserves his spot.
I have heard that Anthony De Ceglie has an associate of his who has designed the logo, it is a modernised version.
I heard that the NSB options were rejected, though both are very similar.
I felt like asking for a look at the NSB’s proposed logos but decided against it.
I would rather wait for the official product, same with the merchandise.
It was good catching up with you at HBF Park Perth Red, once I saw those Bear paws I had to get one.
You were certainly in a good spot to get the gear, I was on halfway and nobody came around to there.
They would’ve been better off handing out the merchandise to those who bothered attending the Q & A imo.

While I appreciate there currently is a merchandise void whilst the NRL club is being setup and Ill assume its actioned with the right intentions .... when does this become an IP issue for the new club?

Yass supporters group also have had Perth Bears tshirts printed.

I've resisted any Cave merch until I can talk to the club about what works for them from a supporters group point of view.

In the meantime The Cave has a 'genuine' merch comp about to launch!
