I would like to see the red and black hoops jersey be the first jersey.

Theres merit in that but it'd also make a great heritage round jersey. They may surprise us and go with something unique that becomes an iconic Perth Bears jersey but its likely they will appease the NS fans with something NS in first few years. Something like this

Surely the Perth Bears should be deciding that? I presumed that was why nothing at announcement other than the name. That should be a Board and CEO decision for the club.

The NRL wants to see something specific as far as the Bears branding goes. Theoretically, even if Perth Bears soon to be formally appointed board went with something drastically different, the NRL would just reject it.

Point is though there won’t be anything drastically different (from what NRL want to see) because there will be people with Bears backgrounds on the board too, even if it isn’t overly evident at first glance.

I wouldn’t be worried at all. What’s been proposed looks great and very much honours tradition while paving way for modernisation.

Weary that the decision could be made by the NRL and Norths without input from the Chairman and Directors representing Perth. I hope this isn't a barometer for decisions in the next three months.

Agreed.

I just feel having the red and black hoops to start with will attract as many Norths fans back to the game as possible while at the same time delivering a nice simple design that looks great and is a great base to develop the jersey from (almost like a blank canvas) years down the track. i.e Make it more modern, take a few more risks with design etc.

Ultimately it won’t really matter what the chair, or directors regardless of if they’re from WA or Norths have to say. I say this in relation to items requiring critical or decisive voting. ARLC will be the only ones with voting rights and I think this is important to remember, especially, in say 6 months time.

Whatever resolution of colours happen, I’m sure it’ll look good.

Looks like NRL Finals gold. Not what most people would think of as WA Gold.

Any gold is good. It also proves my point that the club really should have an official light colour in their pallette. Red print on that black background would be very hard to read unless you're up close. Yes, white would do it too, but my preference is gold.

jersey 2 for away would look better if the black and white colours were reversed.

I've tweaked my logo that I did something like 8 months ago. I know it's not getting in, and I'm sadly confident that there's not going to be gold included in the club's colours, so bugger it. Here's my take on what I'd like the Perth Bears logo to be (or at least the essence of it anyway).
