Garner turns 30 in about 10 weeks mate he isnt playing at this level for four more seasons, that is extemely unlikely. Scotty is 32 now btw, where Garner will be in two years.
As I said about Sorenson I believe he wasn't playing well due to injury or lack of confidence caused by injury. I find it hard extremely hard to believe he's washed because of age. If he stops getting those soft tissue injuries he'll be fine for like 1 or 2 years. If Sorenson strings games together when he's fit he'll be fine this year and probably next despite being 32. When his acceleration starts to really drop off badly due to age that's when he's done but he's naturally fast so the relatively minor decline in acceleration you get from 25-32 isn't that bad.

If he was playing a lot of first grade since the age of 18 or something and had that level of wear and tear at the age of 32 he would be much slower and it would be a problem.

If anything I'd suspect Sorenson's problem is that he's a gym rat and that might be the cause of his re-occurring soft tissue injuries doing too much weights in the gym when he was younger.

I think it’d be a very bad call to let both go but one is probably for the best to give Clarke, Lipowicz and Armstrong some opportunities. My preference would be Garner at this point given he is the perfect and only edge/centre 17 whereas Sorro is one of 3 edge/middles in the squad. Unless you pulled the trigger on Tago in that 17 role and ran a backline of To’o, McLean, Alamoti and Milky/Edgar.

Good morning all!

* Thanks for all your kind words.

Now a replacement for Assistant Coach Gardiner.

Who would you like to come in?

For me I'd really like Jamie Soward to take over, followed by Matty Johns or Cooper Cronk..

I think Jamie could be a wonderful option. I don't think Matty or Cooper would go for a full time assistants role. I think they both like working with individual players, in an ad hoc manner.

So sorry Bossley to hear about the loss of your dad. Nothing can every prepare you for it.
It's 50 years ago this year since I lost my dad. I was 4 days off my 18th birthday.
So my thoughts and prayers are with you all. It's never easy.. Navigating the post death is also real hard.....if you want to vent I'm here most days.....I stalk the place like the aging 'groupie' that I am.......

But most of all, take care of yourself and your family. They are precious.

This guy obviously has talent - he's been consistently playing NSW Cup at Prop since he was 18.
I just wonder if there is something else going on behind the scenes stopping him from taking that next step?

Sorry to hear about your dad brother.

Would love to see Sowie back at the club - He'd be good working with the younger halves.

I would like to see John Morris as an Assistant Coach.
Thought he did a decent job at the Sharks and I felt he was hard done by. Made the Top 8 both seasons.
Brings plenty of experience, yet still a youngish Coach.

Zyon is a massive talent, would love him at the Panthers. Another young player Gus has f**ked over by the sounds of it, promised him the world to come over from NZ and play for the Dogs. But now has got his new project.
