His signing is hardly going to move the needle but it’s more experience for a young team. He can do a job for us at the right price.

Exactly why I labelled it as an 'interesting' signing.
Never someone who crossed my radar that we would look to sign but as someone else commented, we need some experience in the pack to give the younger guys time to develop and Debelin's form of late is way better than Lane, Cartwright, Offa, and probably Matto.

Yep, the problem with our old forwards isn’t that they’re old (Paulo is older than all of them and he’s having his best season in years), it’s that they don’t give a shit any more. They were re-signed to be leaders and they’ve let us down for a second straight year.

28 would have pretty much been the average retirement age for a forward back then. Obviously there were exceptions but Stumpy did have an 9 year FG career.

Also clearly he doesn't wants hands at the club and while he would not be on much he still takes a top 30 roster spot and maybe contribute to getting rid of him , Gus would do it hopefully we have men of the same calibre running the club
