It was in the news a few days ago, that the dogs were offering him to us.
I didn’t read the whole article, so not sure why, maybe something to with TDS, but only guessing that.

If a player agitates for a release during a season the player should pay the club the full amount his current year's contract plus any other future contract.
The club that signs the player should also pay the losing club the same amount.
So if LG was on 350k in 2025 and next year 500k then the player pays the WT 850k in compensation and the Dogs paying 850k transfer fee. Even if there is only 4 rds to go, both parties would still pay 850k.
One would argue that a player like LG wouldn't have 850k so stiff bickies, no transfer then.
Or if both clubs can agree to a swap factoring in the 850k then that would still be an option if the NRL ratifies the contacts.
All this probably has flaws but something drastic has to be done to stop these greedy managers wrecking a clubs season.

About the only one has who has left without taking a petty pot shot at the club on his way out.

I've got no issues with any player stating their reasons for leaving but it's gotta be done in detail so we know what the issues are and then we can have a dig at the club if they're valid and nothing is done to address them.

How would you do that?
I've emailed the club community, stated my membership number and asked for clarification on a few things.
I'd say only 10% gave responses. Their comments were very good but it's very hard to get a reply.

If enough people piss and moan change can sometimes be achieved.

Plus the gutterslime would pick up on it and run it on 360 and the like. Then it'd get attention.

It'd just be nice to know what departing players are pissed at to address it, if warranted.

Gotcha. Internal rumblings would be squashed to protect the product.
Shane is pretty transparent so I think player grievances would be more from the football side of things and not the club.

I like that.. I’m going to look at Benjis apprentiship ending this year. A clean out of the current crop of assistants and fresh start next year. Now I am assuming Benji will be there next year..
