Looking at last years shield and career averages I think Patterson could be the best option to come in and open. He is 32 so could have a 5 year career ahead of him.
Sangha had a good season last year and may be an option for the middle order for the ashes - is he in England doing anything.
Green needs to be down the order as well.

finished strong in the shield and seems to have gotten a few runs in county cricket. Would think he would be an option at #3 at least
