Iongi should be firming to make the QLD squad for Game 3 with the injury to Ponga. Perfect time to get him in to camp with the Eels having the Bye.
Not really

Hammer and Walsh would be ahead of him.

Plus I dont think he is ready and could do him more harm playing.

I would be nice though if Billy brought him into camp as 20th man for that experience.

I do think 2027/2028 is when Iongi will be pushing for a potential QLD fullback spot though.

I think Ponga will give up his QLD jersey in the next 18 months to play for the Kiwis.

I did say squad. Hammer is the front runner, and I wouldn't have Walsh anywhere near the team until he puts together more consistency on and off the field. Would be targeted by Luai and Crichton again.

Iongi could even be named 18th man at this rate.

Hammer reminds me so much of Semi
Todd Payten stuffed up the 2022 prelim by not bringing the Hammer on until the last 4 mins.

If he played the last 20 we probably lose thst game.

He was already looking dangerous in the 2 times he touched in that final 4 mins.

I think Dylan got a ankle tap just in as he was about to be in the clear.

If you have the stomach to watch those last 5 mins again you will see how dangerous he could have been with an extra 10-15 mins on the paddock.
