I think it was @King-Gutho94 who mentioned with Perth coming in there’ll be an average wage adjustment so overpaying now to get an important player in place probably is a saving in 2-3 years.
And if he’s a problem child, BA will sort him out.

For sure. Unless we got him cheap (no chance), signing TDS is a huge risk. But playing it safe only suits the status quo, which isn't us. We have to take risks. Maybe we always did, which is why we have won no more than half our games after every grand final since 1985.
