Agree. I personally know of 8 people who use to follow North Sydney who have all said they plan to follow the new Bears and get to games in Sydney, etc, though I'll be curious to see how active they will be.The interstate fanbase would be the most valuable. Potentially, I'm keen to see how many are actually out there.
That's no bad thing, that tends to be the demographic with the most expendable cash!Agree. I personally know of 8 people who use to follow North Sydney who have all said they plan to follow the new Bears and get to games in Sydney, etc, though I'll be curious to see how active they will be.
If the side is competitive in it's first few years, it will definitely help, though the east coast base will be predominately people aged 40 years and above.
Mate, you’ve been wrong at many turns and here we are months later and you’re still trumpeting absolute rubbish like what you just posted. This isn’t your Cave Facebook page mate, your rubbish will get called out for exactly that, rubbish. You’ve been doing great with your support, stick to that. Everytime you stray away and post things “you think you know”, it just further highlights how much you don’t know.Accept they arent.
Not wanting to cover old ground but sometimes you just have to call it
1. The Consortium offered up $30mill start up, they then added to that with a $20mill license fee AND financial guarantees. Yeh doesnt sound like a bid with financial backing at all lol.
2. Ive heard from a good Govt source that the very first meeting with NRL The WA govt was told the NRL's strong preference was a Bears link up and they should pursue that. Bears wasnt WA govt idea at all. They had no choice given the NRL's directive
3. That NS have 3 seats on the board of a Perth club sets alarm bells ringing for us again in the West.
Trust me. This club cannot rebrand. There’s factors beyond WA Government’s financial support towards grassroots and pathways development programs to which the license is legally bonded to. Bears brand being in WA is very much one of those factors.Alarm bells in case of what? Norths have far more to lose and with only 1/3rd representation on the board they'd be outvoted on any motion to sever all ties and rebrand.
10% would be massiveIt'll be interesting to see how many of the alleged 200k decide to support the Perth Bears in any meaningful way.
Well then be happy. You're in when it looked like a lost cause. A few successful seasons and who knows a wealthy WA consortium headed by a mining tycoon could one day do a Melbourne Storm for the Bears.lol. yeh if only that had been an option!
big facts yet againMate, you’ve been wrong at many turns and here we are months later and you’re still trumpeting absolute rubbish like what you just posted. This isn’t your Cave Facebook page mate, your rubbish will get called out for exactly that, rubbish. You’ve been doing great with your support, stick to that. Everytime you stray away and post things “you think you know”, it just further highlights how much you don’t know.
Point 1, quite literally reinforces what I blatantly stated. Good start up funding, no argument there but also no sustainable long term plan or strategy, only verbal handshakes and promises from undisclosed “business people” as put forward guarantees that weren’t even tangible. A lot of “trust us bros, we got someone in the shadows ready to finance this operation”..
Point 2, maybe. Possibly. Who knows. What’s known is WA Gov approached Bears with the concept. I was literally in the room when they discussed it.
Point 3, I told you. For months, the Bears brand will be protected and there will be Norths people on the board. Now I originally said 2 Bears people who hadn’t been on Norths board before and I admittedly forgot Bracey had a short stint on it previously but Hockey hasn’t ever served as a member. Also not sure what happened but Tony Crawford for all intent and purposes was also approached but it’s clear at some point that spot went to Daniel Dickson instead. Likely Tony turned it down.
At this stage I’m convinced that I could state that Brisbane is a city in Queensland and for whatever reason you’d choose to not believe me and instead argue that fact just because I posted it.
Beyond all of that we now support the same club, you have a good avenue to reach people and bring more fans in. Use that in a positive manner, stop being such a turnip and march on with the great support that you’re showing. That sort of support is invaluable. This other crap like your post above, leave those uneducated thoughts in the bin. You’re better than that.
Nope, thats the NS bears group where the civil war is lol
Isn’t that the group pr runs lol
You didn’t accept my request hahahaNope, thats the NS bears group where the civil war is lol
