Not Sloan's fault

We have never had a plan to take advantage of Sloan's ability

Who the f**k knew Suli could pass??

Wherever Sloan lands, they will be my second team

As far as I'm concerned we crucified him way too early

I hope he succeeds in the NRL and fook all you naysayers
Most of Slone's tries this year, Suli has passed to him. He also passed to Allen last week.

In many ways tonight was just about our best game of the year.

Dug deep, didn’t fold, changed game plans during the game but in the end poor discipline, our inability to complete at a high %, patchy defence and poor kicking put the game beyond our reach.

The refereeing didn’t help but despite it we could have won.

Such basic things costing us week in week out falls directly on the coaching staff’s shoulders.

Tonga and Fifita are a couple of big props, and one day after gaining a few years experience, may well turn into the type oof prop we are looking for. Right now, we need to bring them trough (along with the Couchman boys, Stewart, and Liu).
fifita wasn’t on before half time.

Went a lot better than I was anticipating. Just keep that commitment up for the rest of the year and I’ll be happy. Some good and some bad. Gerard Sutton and his touchie can go and get f**ked. Never stood a chance with Gerry boy, plenty of leg up’s and dubious calls to the opposition as per usual with him

Have had time to cool off though:

- Kyle’s “escort” under the post when he held his line shouldn’t have been a pen

- Allan’s finger in the back Canberra milk it
Shouldn’t have been a penalty .

- Sloans disallowed try
wasn’t forward

- Crusher tackle on Sua with minutes remaining goes unnoticed

- Sua 1/1 steal which Kris strips off him and goes dead should’ve been a drop off .

To add to all that our 65% completing rate , Finau dropping 2 clear line breaks
Sloan & Gutho once again collide
Weeks runs through 6 players x 2 .

Also the penalty against Sue for dangerous contact was absolutely rubbish

I turned the game off once the Raiders hit 28 so I missed the “comeback”.
Was a bit surprised seeing some of the reports this morning saying the Dragons played tough.
I saw the same dumb errors at crucial times and the same paper thin defence I’ve seen all year. Sure they hung in there but the Kayo Weekes long range tries were unforgivable IMO. The try before half time was typical Dragons. Some bad luck sure but geez it’s just so predictable. Only the Dragons concede tries like that.
I missed the supposed ”Sloan magic” at the end of the game but good riddance to him. The same dumb error he made just a few weeks ago and was dropped for lead to a try as he collides with our fullback.
Onto the ref. We’re all one eyed Dragons fans but I said to my wife last night that we were getting bent over and reamed and the ref wasn’t even courteous enough to bring the lubricant. Disgraceful. How clowns like Sutton and Klein continue to get picked to officiate games is just beyond me. He’s not only incompetent but he doubles down immediately after he’s got a decision wrong.
The “forward pass” for our first try. - Un-f$%king believable. The S’ua “hip drop”. You’re kidding. Raiders player goes off and laughs about it. Then laughs about it again in the press conference .The Allen “escort”. Seriously? We’re our own worst enemy but we’ve got no chance when the officiating is so incompetent. Having said that we deserved to lose - the poor refereeing just puts the result beyond doubt.
Very disillusioned this morning. Can’t see much changing for ’26.

Without the errors and even with a poor kicking game, we may have won. Some of the dropped balls by NRL players was horrendous.
