Then importance of having a reasonable to good GK.

Doueihi, 7 from 7, which was the difference in the end.

Very happy to be wrong. Played with a lot of heart and dominated the early exchanges. The fade out is a concern but comes with a younger outfit.

Latu and his brothers are just phenomenal talents. Extend for life please.

Ref and commentators doing all they could to ride Easts home. Ennis was deplorable.
Agree re the ref and the commentators, both didn't want us to win.
I listened to Voss & Penis, they non stopped banged on about the kids in the rorters team and I don't recall anything about our kids and our new spine.
The 6 agains just happen out of nowhere and there is no scrutiny of why or how.

Daryl Halligan did not have a long and successful first grade career because of his speed. He was very solid in the basics.....but goal kicking was definitely the reason for making first grade every week.
It will be a very interesting selection dilemma when all are fit. Im beginning to think Skelton will be that fall guy for a fit May....due to that valuable goalkicking from Adam.

We shouldn't get carried away with the win, but with the players due back, there is cause for some optimism.

We didn't fire yesterday. We haven't fired all season. Benji has to somehow get this team to play good footy consistently. To be fair to him we haven't done that in years.

Our squad is the best we've had in years and the weak areas appear to be have fixes on the way.

Can Benji get this team firing ? If so I can't see how we don't start being a threat in the comp.

I think their outs outweighed ours to be fair to the rorters.
BUT, every year, year after year, we don't win those games that we should and finally, we did this yesterday.
The big if is, if we won more of those type of games this year, we would be in the 8.
I finally got to watch the game properly this morning. I immediately thought, could Galvin have swooped on the ball, jinked through traffic and outsprint Tedesco to score....I don't think so.
Latu really stepped up. His passing game is great and plays more direct, and what about his covering tackles.
Hope and Latu gave us energy that I haven't seen in the Tigers for a long long time.

It's a good question Tiger.
What team will run out next week?
Is it going to be a side that has a new-found belief in themselves or are they going to fall back onto their heels and be hesitant again?
When the boys came out in that first half and swooped on loose balls, had the confidence to run the short side and score and react instinctively in defense, it meant they trained well during the week and were switched on.
When you continually lose after busting your gut it's human instinct to back off somewhat. You snooze, you lose.
Hopefully this win is a springboard to further success.
The approach that team Benji is running with is if your don't want to buy in then buzz off. If every player is wanting the Tigers to win then if we stick by those players we will eventually become a well oiled unit.
DaSilva was an anomaly because he wanted to stay but didn't want to play second fiddle. Hope is a cheaper and better option imo.
Remember us saying that combinations don't form overnight. It can take most of a season to get things moving. Chopping and changing the team make-up just delays things further.

I really like Turuva at the back. Apart from when he was looking straight into the sun and dropped a bomb, it was a polished performance.
The added advantage he has over Bula is he can get us on the front foot coming off our line and can get thru tackles easier ala To'o.
I just felt more comfortable with Turuva at the back.
It's an awesome dilemma to have when Bula comes back from injury.
Charlie Staines shows more NRL experience and maturity than Laulilii so Luke still needs development in reserves
If people can't see Luke's potential it's either because they haven't seen his efforts in Pathways or are basing their opinions on his present game. We have to remember that he's only just started to cut his teeth.
The club wants him so we need to keep giving him little cameos here and there in the NRL and let his body develop by playing him for 80min every week in reserves.

And keep in mind that Latu is still WAY down on match fitness after a long leg injury layoff. Also kudos to Trisdan Hope...great service out of DH... quick ...decisive and laser accurate!. Not a future star at 28 but he covers for TDS just fine.

Yes mate, and a bit of a fairytale story with him and his family from Brizzy.

Turuva is a better fullback than Bula.Bula is way to casual for my liking & his defence is soft.Being managed by the detestable grub I’d like the club to fk him off so we can wipe our hands clean of the poison b4 the merkin starts trying to destabilise us again.

I really like Bula but Turuva has that dog in him doesn't he. I hope the club realizes Turuva is a great option at fullback for us. We need to realize that some players are going to dog us for money at any chance and be extremely careful in investing in those types of players.

I'm not stating Bula is a dog like that but he is signed to the merkin.

I do like Bula as a person. From what I heard and read he has loyalty and he loves his mates. His volunteering to represent the team in the last survivor challenge in boot camp is a testament of this.

Yep it sucks that he seems like such a good kid but managed by the grub. Its just so unforgivable & deserves retribution of the nastiest kind what the grub has done to this club since 2017

Well it does highlight the value of Turuva and why we have to keep the guy.

Bula is a gem in the rough, I think he's been good for us, he has said he is staying, so we will see.

I've been saying this for 2 years re: Bula

Apparently, (if I remember it correctly), he has only recently signed with the grub, so if he takes up the club option for '27, of $900k (I believe) Moses doesn't get anything, because it was done before he signed.
