Especially given how good NRL ratings are, and how poor some of our crowds can be.There is zero evidence that crowd figures impact TV ratings. Most fans watch the game for the actual match and would not even notice or care about the size of the crowd.
It's only crowd enthusiasts in here that watch games for crowds in the stands. 99% of viewers don't give a shit.
NRLFMD those union ratings are awful
And to think union types thought the lions tour would be a huge needle mover
Wow they are still doing that bsSwans/Dockers (NSW/WA)
Crows/Demons (Vic/SA)
Seven 467k (BVOD 23k) Reach 1.375m
2 games got 467k?![]()
The NRLW on Thursday rated higher. I'm not sure I would call it a massive result.Frankly Im surprised Union, which is clearly a 2nd tier sport these days, rated nearly 2/3rds of the NRL.
And in a game against a 2nd tier nation.
Despite what we believe, they would consider that a massive result.
Wow they are still doing that bs
They need to seperate the numbers for each game and present them separately not aggregate them like that
That’s so dishonest
Its be interesting to see the stats on that.Especially given how good NRL ratings are, and how poor some of our crowds can be.
Its not a coherent arguement.
The NRLW result was fantastic, but clearly benefited from being played at a time that fans are conditioned to watch footy (Thursday night). Womens footy is a huge growth potential for our game, and I feel confident in saying that its quality is far better than any other domestic womens footy code. The NRLW on Thursday rated higher. I'm not sure I would call it a massive result.
Even yawnion is doing better than themWow they are still doing that bs

Rigged compWow they are still doing that bs

They claimed Nathan Cleary as a juniorRigged comp
False participation numbers (Auskick)
Relying on reach to claim TV ratings wins
Adding two games together to get an average ratings figure still lower than an NRL game.
Certain teams having billions of members but suspiciously poor attendances
Would you really expect any different from them?
Mate I went to school in QLD in the 90s and have Victorian parents (the shame, I know). I'm probably counted as an Auskick junior and I've never touched a Sherrin - lolThey claimed Nathan Cleary as a junior
Sent him a letter in the mail to tell him
Him and Ivan were puzzled how they worked that out
Wow I didn’t realise it had gotten that bad for Union in this country that they would consider the Wallabies rating less than 2/3 of a mid-table NRL club game a “massive result”.Frankly Im surprised Union, which is clearly a 2nd tier sport these days, rated nearly 2/3rds of the NRL.
And in a game against a 2nd tier nation.

Honestly I didn't even know the game was on, and it was against Fiji.Wow I didn’t realise it had gotten that bad for Union in this country that they would consider the Wallabies rating less than 2/3 of a mid-table NRL club game a “massive result”.
I suppose it’s all relative when you look at their ratings for the past 5-10 years. The bigger concern for them must surely be the ratings of their domestic comp.
Maybe its a Sydney thing.Need wookie to bring some data on this. When I first saw those ratings my initial thought was they’re absolute dogshit but maybe that’s decent for the wallabies?
Rating significantly worse than a regular season game of NRL or AFL doesn’t seem particularly good.
