I am agreeing with you dude. You made a good point. Not sure what your trying to say here
But if you are basing your selection on stats , rather than current (and preferably sustained form for over a year plus ) then that is a poor and neglectful approach to take..and guys like Webster never get a crack ..
Never too late , unless of course you have been given multiple opportunities already , or in rare situations like Bancroft where (IMO) there were other issues involved, despite him killing it in Shield at the time and the form opener, and still worthy of one more opportunity
Would be great if Webster could do more bowling and take more wickets to go with his batting.
Along with Green if he doesn't get better at the batting at 3 before he can starts bowling again we should look to replace him.
Same with Kostas he needs to start scoring runs or won't get through the ashes.
Everybody is punch drunk and paranoid from social media arguments.
Sort of true. I definitely tend to just look at the shield average to work out if the player should be selector or not. I’ll have to consider the Webster example in future. This is true
In my case, I speed read things once , then reply lol my downfall
fwiw...Thought you were trying to understand how things work, rather than an opposing view
Even if they could just find a Jimmy Adams level batsman they would be a shot.gee the Windies haven't offered much resistance
You talking bout us or them ?they've got a decent bowling attack, just need some batsmen
