Des Hasler to be next NSW coach
He would bore the s%#/ out of the players with his umming and arghing...
Des needs to give it up.
I dont know who the right person is...maybe Matt Johns? Maybe Geoff Toovey? Someone who is going to have the passion and smarts to stick it to Qld...I dont really care.
Move origin to after the GF and then move into International footy post that.
Origin is a wasteful distraction.
Split rounds, terrible games, getting NRLW thrown in our faces at prime time...please...now before fires up about NRLW I dont mind it but not as the main event...
Anyways time for Parra focus..go the Eels

The attack was too flat. How many times where our gun centres given quality ball? Everyone hating on the outside backs when it is the halves job to set them up.

Too much one out stuff from the forwards too.

In defence, no linespeed nor one straight line.

Twiz buddy

If you didn't see this coming you don't know origin is all about.

I have been fearful of this all week.

NSW butchered it in Perth.

Daley keeping the same time reaffirmed to me we were in trouble.

yeah, I reckon Lomax is a bit embarrased about his manhood this morning

we missed Mitch

The best thing to do with state of origin is get it started and finished as quickly as possible in June. So pick teams first monday in June then game 1 on second monday, game 2 on 3rd monday and last game on the following sunday. Only 3 rounds impacted. Suspend the season in June and have a Nines comp over that 3-week period.

We had no counter for QLD in your face defense which shows we need better coaching..
QLD in attack changed lines had players coming back under.. Sitting at the end of the field you could easily see what NSW was doing.

BTW Accor is still the shittiest stadium to watch footy at.. No atmosphere at all as well..

For years Penrith have played on the front foot. Powerful outside backs making metres early and then the halves having a bit more space. When Cleary doesn't have this luxury at origin level he has no idea.
I think that's why Moses fits in better at that level. He's used to not having his forwards or outside backs laying a platform for him to have a heap of time.

It is especially bad at the ends as everyone knows. If it was a good stadium the fans that only go to the GF or SOO would be likely to go to lesser games. As things are they walk away thinking its a much better view on TV when it is not that wat at grounds like Parra Stadium.

Agree, Accor is a horrible ground. Way too far away from the action. Conversely I’ve sat in the last row of the top tier behind the dead ball line at Lang Park and had a great view. Not as big a capacity obviously but the stands are shaped so much better and don’t sit 200m away from the field.

what I don't get is why Blues players are good at club footy, then go to Origin camp and forget how to play good footy again cuz on paper we should win, in my opinion anyway

I think you can only put so much blame on the coach, I mean he's played plenty of rep footy

such is life I guess

I was actually having this discussion with my old man this morning. Does the fact we have a smaller depth of players to choose from actually work in our favour to a degree?

He was saying that Tallis on NRL360 mentioned Nate Myles wouldn’t have played a game if he was a NSWelshman instead of the 17 or so for us.

Does it then positively affect a player’s mentality to buy in to being the underdog and raising their game?

Clearly; I don’t have the answers but the facts are facts. We keep winning series that on paper we shouldn’t be and there must be some reason for that.

Do QLD have a smaller depth these days?

Just looking at your fullback depth it's pretty decent..

NSW have 1 or 2 fullbacks QLD 4 ish
