I've just been in having a gastroscopy. While out waiting for my pickup who should walk by and into Orthocentre but one K.L.Iro. I reckon I know who he was going in there to see. K.L had the full shoulder immobiliser on. Was going to try and have a yarn but my ride came and he hadn't come out. No way to tell if he's pre op or post op though. I'm guessing pre op as he was escorted in by staff.

Ramien was also grabbing at his left hamstring a few times. Most noticeable after he was tackled and played the ball early in the first half. It was also heavily strapped the entire game. He moved very slowly all game in any kick chase or scramble. He has been off his game for a while but last night he didn't look like he wanted to stride out at all.

Yes I commented on Ramien's suspect hammy in the game thread. Saw him clutch at his hammy and I think it was when Kennedy made the big break and Jess was striding in support like a broken down horse going down the main stretch.

Brailey has been hit with a Grade 1 Dangerous Throw for a 20th-minute tackle on Billy Burns, while Fonua-Blake received a Grade 1 Shoulder Tackle for a shot on the next play.

I'd be fighting that, no way Brailey did a dangerous throw on billy burns

If Brailey fights and loses and it’s still a fine. Fight it. Take a f**king stance we won’t be walked over. Avoid the points carry over or risk of getting hit again later with loading.

Fight and lose it's a bigger fine OR a regrade. If he loses and they change it to Grade 2 you can miss matches by appealing and failing. Do you trust the NRL not to do that? I don't.

No points anymore. Nikora has had 4 charges this year and is still playing. You have to keeo the charges down at Grade 1

Charges and Penalties

The previous points system, including carryover points and loadings, has been retired and made simpler with players issued with fines or a suspension.

Every player began Season 2022 with a clean slate with player records reset on a rolling 12-month period since their last offence. Players serving suspensions from last season were required to complete their existing suspensions.

All Grade 1 Offences will carry a fine except for a reckless high tackles, which is effectively treated as starting at an equivalent of a Grade 4, following on from careless high tackles.

The number of offences will be streamlined into 8 categories.

Players who enter an early guilty plea will be eligible to have their suspensions reduced by one week. Additional guidance and video libraries of examples of each category and grading will be made available.
