His mistakes today were definitely off the back of actually trying something, but a mistake is the mistake in the end.
This is true. He plays hyperactive and can make things happen. In a slow team like the Blues and this eels team minus Moses thats a bad thing but I feel with Moses around who is also a hyperactive player (as is Simonson) then his efforts will pay off a lot more in that team. Of course, his missed tackles are unacceptable.

I thought we looked awesome in attack.

Marker defense was terrible and let the Panthers gain too much easy territory.

We need to run a blockade for our fullback like the Panthers do theirs.

We are the designated shit team and the refs are giving us nothing this year. Panthers are the designated awesome team and the refs are giving them everything (as they always do to the Melbourne Scum).

If we can keep on our trajectory of improvement this unconscious bias of the refs will change, along with a push and shove from Ryles in a post match media conference next year.

As a test run for 2026 we're shaping up well.

No matter how well we play this year the refs, media and general consensus is against us yet we're only a couple of wins out of the 8.

Has becoming a father made Jnr Paulo soft?
He plays like a fat halfback and he must have been embarrassed by getting forced into the in goal by some kid who looks like Mick Delroy and then missing a tackle on a winger on the next play and earlier in the game passing into a player's head who was looking in the opposite direction when he should have just taken a hit up.

I kinda feel that Lomax is playing desperate footy- taking unnecessary chances because the team is in a hole. Brown at hooker was a complete failure. JR needs to take a step back and realise that making mistakes can be learned from.
I was thinking during the game that someone needs to take him aside during the week and listen to him. Ask him how he's feeling, feel his pain, ask him to let it all out.

Maybe take him to some Primal Therapy like John Lennon before his masterpiece Lennon and Plastic Ono band album.

Then tell him to stop playing angry, feel the rythm of the game again: find his love.

At the moment he's through the roof in effort yet lacking the deft touch and feel for the moment. Hopefully he can find someone who'll tell him this and find some equilibrium in his game.

Yes. When we have a spine of DaSilva, Moses, Iongi that attack is going to be good.

I like that idea. Good visual.

Yep. Got to add a couple of key players and it is a top 8 team.
