There is currently 10 teams remaning who are vying for the positions in the Top 8 for the end of the season.

If in exactly 12 months time we're not in the same position as those 10 teams, or we've got players signed in 2027 that would give you reason to expect us to be a contender in 2027, then Ryles must be shown the door.

I like that Ryles is building a different style in attack but it’s too patchy at the moment. Our defence is average as well. 2nd half was very poor.

I think this is spot on. Ryles’ approach this year was always going to rely on building everything around Moses. I think Ryles said as much when Gutherson left.

Moses playing only a handful of games has meant that the attack has never settled, despite there being evident changes in approach from previous years.

I really don’t know what’s up with the defence. It looks better on the edges for the most part than it ever did under Arthur, but our ruck work still sucks for the most part. Too many misses through the middle and slow marker work means we’re often on the back foot in the middle third.

I can't see him remotely considering Parra as a viable option.

It's clear to all the players now that we're preparing for 2026. This for me sends a message to players like Junior that whatever he does for the rest of the year isn't going to impact his role in the team for 2026.

To be honest the same could be said for Williams, Lomax, probably Foxx and Walker.

Brown is going to do everything he possibly can now for the rest of the season to make sure that he isn't going to put himself in a position where he night get injured.

These blokes all virtually have a licence to do whatever they feel like on the field now for the rest of the year. In some instances this really showed today.

The rest all have an opportunity to show what they have or haven't got for 2026.

Walker was great in the first half starting at Lock setup a try saved a try or was it 2.

Williams is good for 20 minute stints.
Fox doesn't get early ball to have the chance to beat his man.

It’s a bit weird, I don’t think Junior has ever been a true leader if we’re being honest, yet he’s kinda had that role foist upon him for a number of years now. He’s extremely skilled for a guy his size, but he is not and has never been your traditional ‘forwards leader’ who runs straight, stings in attack and carries the team on his back. And I’m not sure it’s a role he’s ever really wanted.
