Jason Ryles - Head coach of Parramatta from 2025

It's clear to all the players now that we're preparing for 2026. This for me sends a message to players like Junior that whatever he does for the rest of the year isn't going to impact his role in the team for 2026.
I think Junior should be a 40min bench player at best next year. Come on at the 20-25min mark, and go off at the 60-65min mark. And then f**k off/retire in 2027.

We have De Belin to announce once Lane or Matterson's cap money becomes available. So 2026 middle rotation is something like De Belin-Williams-Paulo-Hopkins, with Walker in the mix of minutes for that fifth lock position too.

Lee Hopkins is 47. Has he been injured?

I’m on board with what Ryles is doing.

he explained himself well in the post-game presser. The rest of this season is about preparing for 2026 and gets runs into what is a very young spine.

We may be in the same position as last year, but our football is a damn sight better and I’m a hell of a lot more optimistic of where we can go.

I think we’ll likely get flogged the next 3 weeks, and to be honest, I don’t give a shit now, let’s just see some positivity in the spine combos
Yeah I agree

Moses will be back for the Broncos game. But things may get a big ugly in the next month.

But yeah the carry on in the media in the next week about Dylan Brown being dumped will bd nothing more then clickbait and a storm in a teacup.

We owe Drown nothing and if we were in the top 8 and he was playing well then quite simply he would be our 6.

The reality is he isnt playing well and we are headed for another bottom 4 finish.

Funnily enough I thought his service was pretty good from Dummy half when he was there in the first 25-30 mins.

It actually was. Maybe we’ve wasted him at 5/8th since the start.

Maybe if we paid off the ref. maybe if we had Gus Ghould to phantomise himsef into our oppostion families

Maybe if we were as good as we are and we're not getting our fair share?

How about we stand up to the NRL?

Honestly for the rest of the year I’d just have brown play lock barring injury.. Hopgood needs a stint in New South Wales cup and to be honest is offering nothin. Next year we will have debelin so he is not really taking anyone’s role.

Fully fit for the rest of the year

1 Iongi
2 Addo Carr
3. Russell/penisini
4. Simonssen
5. Lomax
6. Papali
7. Moses
8. Williams
9. Smith
10. Paulo
11. Kautoga (if injured move Williams to here)
12. Guymer
13 brown

14. Da Silva.
15 walker
16 tuvati
17. Whoever, maybe samrani or another debutant

Walker at 13 was good today..

Hopgood can start in the front row and Williams second row with the injury to Kit Kat

I think this is spot on. Ryles’ approach this year was always going to rely on building everything around Moses. I think Ryles said as much when Gutherson left.

Moses playing only a handful of games has meant that the attack has never settled, despite there being evident changes in approach from previous years.

I really don’t know what’s up with the defence. It looks better on the edges for the most part than it ever did under Arthur, but our ruck work still sucks for the most part. Too many misses through the middle and slow marker work means we’re often on the back foot in the middle third.

Moses give

DeBelin , junior and one or two others (walker ? Hopgood?) not there in 2027

So basically got to find pigs next year for 2027

Ryles thinks outside the box, I'll give him that much

Doesn't always means it a good thing though, last night's experiment didn't work, but he had a go.

We extended Hopgood, didn't we? FMD.
When we did extend him last year it was 2 games after he was picked for QLD off the bench.

I don't think anyone saw the regression from Hopgood coming.

He picked up a knee injury in the off season so he had a limited pre-season.

Its the only excuse i can find.

He hasn't come back well from his back/knee injuries.
