Even more true is we are a really crap team.

@Nutz nailed it when he said we were an inconsistent team. That is the issue. Api and Luai to me are the worst offenders. They need to be guys giving us 8/10 games week in and week out and they aren't doing that.

I don't see our squad as the problem. Our spine should be elite (Luai and Api are not performing, Galvin was crap, Latu has been good but injured and he needs to develop his game, AD who shouldn't be there has outperformed every other half with limited opportunities). Our forwards and outside backs are pretty good. We are lacking a right edge backrower (to replace Seyfarth/Sukkar), a left edge centre (replace AD) and probably an impact middle forward (Hunt should have been this player).

There is no way our squad is one of the worst in the comp. No freaken way.

I'll state this for the coaching staff though. The Dogs have been ordinary with a decent squad for a while and all of a sudden they've turned it around.

I'm hopeful it's a learning experience. The team is new and not playing well together.

I'm also grasping at straws because your comment on the coaching staff is the obvious concern.

My biggest bugbear by a country mile about the deplorable concord rabble is their pissweak & illiteracy re defense.The one glaring strength Ciraldo has is educating his team on defense.Its primarily why the dogs have improved dramatically under Ciraldos tutelage.Culturally we’ve never been a defense oriented club apart from when Cleary was coach.Its why I so detest Sheens & it’s a major reason y the coaching staff who played under Sheens should be made redundant.

Good stuff. We have to be a defensive side first and foremost. I've said it too many times now that if you sort your defense out first, your points will come. You will win more games this way.
I still stand by this.

The WT pattern of play , start off conservative and wait for an opposition mistake to take the advantage. The problem is most times it's the WT who make the mistake, get pinged by the ref and bunker early and drop there bundle. The game plan if we have one goes out the window, disorganised plays, one out running, ineffective kicks, early turn overs, lack of line speed in defence etc. continues because this team ,lacks smarts, hates adversity and lays down rather than fight for victory, other than a lack of talent, how else can you explain the total lack of cohesion and direction from a team that supposed to be professional unit and train together.

You've worked out a pattern Benchie?
I'm still trying to work out all the different ways we've managed to lose games since 05.
We haven't lost a bye rd yet, which is amazing.
