At 3:56am, my jet lagged arse can think of 2 penalties, admittedly, both tough calls. He was penalised for a strip which led to the first try. Add that to just waving Douehi through and you start to get my frustration that he always seems to makes the crucial error.

Both penalties were nonsense, Ford didn't strip the ball and a leg pull like that happens almost every set. He appeared to have lost the ball once and benefited from bad camera angles.

Missing Doueihi was a big cock up, but Egan was equally to blame.

Ford's huge work rate evened out to a perfectly average / serviceable night, he was hardly last week's Kosi.

Apologies to all. That Mt Smart grog hit a little too hard last night.
No shame, we're a tightly-wound bunch here! The win was on yesterday, but so was the loss. You could feel it going either way. None of us were in the mood to lose.

I was rostered off work today so had a session last night. I was hoping for some more post-game talk on here but it all fizzed out by eight pm! The pressure obviously got to you all.

Ford does a job, that others aren't yet capable of. Offers big minutes, a workrate that allows DV & TSS to have max inpact. He's not perfect, but some of the crap he cops on here is crazy.

3. RTS
2. TT - looks the absolute goods at fullback. More footy in him than in CNK. He is absolutely required now that Metcalf's running game & speed are not around.
1. Demi - loving his impact & ability to offload to those in space

3. Boyd - Not necessarily the best guy on the park but gets a boost from me based on context; to come in, steer the backline and nail the kicks seamlessly after reggies wilderness all year is seriously good
2. TT - Similar story, and he injects much needed agility & speed, we have to find a way to keep him going
1. RTS - Huge workload and seems to be comfortable as a tough hard winger after losing that yard of pace

HMs to many, the Demi and Leka show is a pure treat to watch
Thought Niukore was much improved and made a couple of great runs.

Stowers-Smith gave us plenty of momentum when he came on. They were good carries. Strong and aggro. Opposition may look warily at the bench now, when they see him warming up.

Was very impressed with Stowers-Smith. Our bench is a real point of difference, losing almost nothing when we rotate, and that too Laban didn't really get many chances.

What absolute weapons we have lined up, absolutely cannot afford to see these guys leave in droves.

I mean, he has two detractors and everyone else seems to be a fan. Not sure he gets a crazy amount of crap

I wouldn't call myself a 'Jackson Ford fan', but fully understand the vital role he plays for the greater good of the team.

I watched the video btw. 'What they love' about Ford seems to be that we need him, given we've lost Barnett and he hasn't given up despite being limited.

Having him in Team of the Week is wild.

Or maybe, others disagree with the two most prominent voices here :)

For the record, I'm neither a cheerleader or blind hater but recognize the place he's filling. There are few players who try harder and he plays like he's 15kg heavier. With that comes the odd error and I'll concede, the odd poor game. However, for the most part, he does the job he's being asked to do and he's 100% in for every second he's on the field. He's also improved every season and I guarantee if he's still with us in 2 years doing the same job, he'll be the Michael Luck of the 2020's.
Therefore, based on that, if I feel he deserves points, then I will award them.

Honest Question to Meth and Manu. What would he need to do in order for you to award points?
