Not sure of the rule but i have seen many times the clock runs when there taking the kick. I don't know how long they have to take the kick though.

I always thought it stops for the kick and then runs after they kick it.

Flanno was gutted and very upset with a couple of decisions that didn't go our way in the end and I'm glad he repeated that the officials got things wrong. Nothing can be done to reverse the decision so the shithouse Dogs get the two points. Just bad luck and no real rub of the green for the red and whites unfortunately which happens to us too often.

For some reason it feels like the people running the league don't want us anywhere near the finals.

Damn shame that the 2 points went begging , however as said by others we received no favours from the man with the whistle.

Nevertheless the Big Red V played a tremendous game considering our injuries and any fan who was not pleased by their efforts needs a large dose of ‘horse puss’ injected into their rear end .

I can only say that we knew before the season began that it was going to be a tough road to travel in 2025 for numerous reasons , but one needs to consider the fact that our playing roster is nowhere near as good as the majority of other NRL teams .

For mine tonight’s display by the Dragons showed that , our goal line defence and the sheer tenacity not to give up .
Also the fact that Flanagan has done a great job in getting his mish - mash of a team to perform at this level - we will only improve upon tonight’s performance .

There was plenty of dumb dumb dragons football and that was more of a factor than a solitary call from the officials.

Get Sloan to stay on his wing and Flanagan's not even bringing it up.

At game - it was noticeable how few Dragons supporters were there - given the pedigree of opposition supporters - totally understandable why our supporters would not turn up. I ensured i had my Rabies vaccine earlier in the day.
The Allan decision to jump back into the touch-in-goal completely astounds me - WTF!
Then the Dogs score with 2.08 to go and we kick off with .14 on the clock. Abdo - you need to clarify this or resign. In the last 5 minute once you score the clock should restart when you kick off.

There were alot of bad calls that went both ways tonight. Overall the reffing in this game was one of the worst I've seen this season. I'm so over game management for entertainment purposes. It's not sport anymore. They play with momentum, fatigue and territory with 6 again calls. They make things up and ignore things when it suits.

At the end of the day we lost because we couldn't win the yardage battle, our kicking was poor and we can't close out a game. It's just so frustrating that it's happened so many times this season and we're always on the wrong end of it.

Gutted - again can't fault the effort. The 1%ers let us down most games (either from individuals or collectively as a team).

As a side note though - it was three back-to-back piggy back penalties where Burton put the big kicks into touch which gave the Bulldogs hope.

I have absolutely no doubt about it - the NRL fair dinkum has an entertainment producer in the bunker giving advice to the ref i.e. "you've got to get them out of their red zone, been down there for too long". It's only at the game where you can really see what is going on. Tonight, they fair dinkum did everything to keep the Bulldogs rolling up the field, despite us absolutely defending as though our lives depended on it.

That's what now? Six games lost by two or less this year? The difference between 18 competition points and 30 competition points. Add the close ones we've won, and it has to be some sort of record where we've been involved in games with such little swing either side.

I grew up watching Rugby League predominantly in the 90's and into the early 2000s. The game as I knew from back then is well and truly dead. The NRL has it's sniff of the cash that will come from the American market. The only way this is going to succeed is by ensuring the games future as an entertaining TV sport.

For the neutrals, tonight would have been good to watch on TV. For those of us at the game, who've been watching the game long enough, you could feel the momentum shift as a result of the BS that the officials carry on with, and it was always going to be a struggle for us to hold firm.

I'll even go back three weeks - the Fox wasn't out. Touchy called it, but if he didn't, the bunker still would have ruled in our favour. That call was just the officials giving us something back, because by hell they haven't given us much else this year.

The entire team must be absolutely shattered !

I've been writing on here exactly the same thing as you have, for the last few years (maybe 5+ years).
I call it the WWE=NRL, or WWE>NRL. Was shot down a few times by members on here in the early days as being repetitive and full of shit after clearly being raped by the refs. But it was plain as day as to what was happening if you had played the game as a sport before the Corp dollar ran the game.

I'll repeat, all games are now orchestrated with the winner pre determined before kickoff!!! Rugby League is no longer a sport that I played in late 80's and early 90's, it's just entertainment now, WWE, Milli Vanilli eat your heart out.

VL and AbDumbo have seen the $$$, bums on seats, more pay tv audience for play-offs and GF, expansion into US, buying into ESL etc etc.

However, in my opinion, it is our dopey BOD cant see the obvious, and haven't kept up with the corrupt "modern game"!!!

I've just watched Flanno's presser and it's Des Hasleresque, deflecting and blowing up about the Leilua call.
A leader takes responsibility and accountability and doesn't make excuses.

Fix all the dumb shit we did for the remainder of the game and we win regardless, Cooper Cronk just said the same thing and as we know he is a true champion and leader.
