Garner is going that well I'd upgrade him. He's f**king flying and his genuine ability to play centre is so valuable, as we'll see for Tago this week.

Rumour? Garner was on the radio on the weekend and was asked about his contract due to the media reports, he mentioned the club has allowed him to speak to other clubs prior to November 1st, as he is contracted next year. He said he was keen to stay but would need to make a decision soon.

Your trouble is, you fall in love with a player and you see them as superstars.

Garner is great solid NRL player, at full strength, he is on our Bench covering Edge players. This is his peak mate. That’s the reality of it. He’s great for our team, but we can easily cover that bench spot next year if he manages to find a better deal.

Hassett at the very worst, will be good enough to cover Garners bench spot, but he appears to have a much higher ceiling. He was Gun back rower of his age coming through, I’m also 90% sure he captained the school boy team (that might be wrong). Losing him would be a huge shame.

Not at all. Garner is a superstar CAPWISE and to release him early is simply incompetent.
