I reckon we'll be a premiership contender in 3 years time with Ryles. We just need to give him time to.do his thing with no pressure. We gave the other idiot before him 11 years, so I don't think guaranteeing him 3 years is a stretch.

I think MON and co need to be applauded for signing Ryles, as most on here would have gone a different direction. Including me.

I really like a lot of the things Ryles has been doing on field this year, he's been handed a shit sammich. Some of has been his own making by letting certain players go. He could of kept Guth,RCG and co and have a few more wins but that would be just kicking the rebuild we desperately needed down the road.

Instead of ripping off a bandaid he's used a meat cleaver which is all been his own choice. It's bold not many other first years coaches would of had the balls. Look at Flanno he's gone the other way and you could argue they are no better where for us Ryles has pushed for youth and as a famous merkin on here has said a few times "It's been very exciting"

Ryles has never been my worry, he's made some mistakes which is what you would expect from a rookie coach and some of the re-signings have given me some doubts but my main worry has always been higher up. Bea Arthur was a stale as month old bread but he wasn't the only problem at the club, MON his team and the foul mouth idiot CEO pushed his bald gleaming dome under the bus and walked away scott free. Brad had to go but he wasn't the only one.

My worry we need to recruit some talent, be bold take risks and land some elite talent. Are any of them up for this???? I seriously doubt it, Ryles is gettijng a lot of things right and even if he continues to do these things his fate rests with MON and his team recruiting us out of this mess and that surely needs to be questioned by the board if we are anywhere near down here this time next year MON and co have to go.

I love the straight line in defense. Yes sometimes it is broken when a player gets sucked in. E.g riley got sucked in by Reynolds which left a gap for reynolds to pass to 2nd rower who trampled joash for the try.

Ryley has gottta hold his space and trust the man taking Reynolds to makr the tackle. Reynold's is not fast so shouldnt burn our defender

I like that excluding the first 4 weeks we look a better team than last year. The majority of games we have been in with a fairly young side and we have had Moses missing for most of it. Realistically we should of beaten the dolphins and dragons aswell.

And had no luck against the Sharts, Riff and Dogs. Even the raiders game that bald prick killed us.

If we aren’t playing finals next year, I will call for him to go straight away.

I said that to his face two weeks ago at the New South Wales cup game at Wentworth Park
Think that is a ridiculous stance. We won’t be recruiting anyone for 2027 when the window opens on Nov 1 if we can’t guarantee Ryles is coaching until at least end 2027. The recruits we pick up will be made to suit to plan, so it would be stupid to sack him before the players he wants for his system even arrive at the club

short us of going backwards next year, he should be 100% safe.

I think there will continue to be questions asked about the make up of the squad and the players let go and lack of external recruitment. But that isn't all on Donk.
When it comes to the style of footy they’re playing and how he’s brought on some of the young/inexperienced guys I think he’s done a great job. Compare the games played against most of the teams we’ve played and it’s not comparable. Put a hypothetical salary cap on the 17 we’ve run out against our opposition and it isn’t comparable.
next year will come down to hopefully recruiting 2-3 players over the offseason and the continued development of the kids we’ve given a run this year and hopefully a few more next year.
I think he‘s done a good job with what he has and agree with the way he has gone about it. Has been hampered significantly by the loss of Moses throughout the year. Just need a 6 and a few others and we’ll surprise next year.
It has definitely turned out to be a brilliant move to let Gutherson and RCG go.

I think we may have dodged a bullet by not acquiring Bennett.
Bennett is now the Monty Burns of rugby league. Time to retire.
