DM-

DWZ- better in many respects. Suspect in other respects. But that sin bin was dumb, deserved and crucial

Capewell- I don't know why we desperately need him there and what he offers that Leiataua doesn't. But he sucks and has since Origin.

Yeah Capewell has to go back to 2nd row next week.

Titans put together maybe their best game of the season

DM, Webby. Taine needs to play every week, we all know why.

We need to put up contestable kicks. We all know why.

Rest Capewell if he's come back from Origin sore. There's still a fair way to go in the regular season, let alone finals.

I'll go-

3- Tuivasa-Sheck
2- Nicoll-Klokstad
1- Fisher-Harris

Far from perfect, RTS and CNK, but they were under a lot of pressure from the Titans and were always up for it.

HM- Boyd, Clark, Halasima, Vaimauga

3. RTS - Sheer work and metres, he's finding his best "older Roger" streak of form
2. Fish - Thought he made many damaging runs and didn't make mistakes
1. CNK - Mostly on work alone, but he was sloppy at times too

HM Clark as usual

Hard to give points or HMs, so many blokes made basic fundamental errors and it cost us big time.
The Capewell/Dallin corner is not working at all and must be changed.

What is up with refs and us?
We being treated like a bottom 4 side.
Bulldogs get the calls last week for ruck interference vs ball plant, NRL defend the call, this week we don't get it.
Goes up no try, held up, bunker overturns and no clear shot of ball on ground to overturn!
Titans blatant push in ruck let go, leg pulls, 2nd efforts by Foran.
Ford just had to take a split second long and done, even called out when 1st man off.
Game stopped for Titans player to get back into the line, play on when Egan down.

Plus can we retire all these dead people shields/cups as its the other teams player that had died, has a loose connection to NZ and it seems to mean more to them.

This goes against the conventional wisdom but I think the 16 is a bigger problem than the 24.

We have slow backs. We are always a chance to concede a few tries, especially on the edges. But we scored 16 points against the bottom team at home. It’s not good enough.

Deep into the game we were running ‘5 hits up and kick’. Webster is a good coach but he doesn’t have us actively trying to score points.

Thought it was a good day for team ‘Capewell can’t defend at centre’ tbh
Capewell phonIng it in now that Origins over? It seems his best performances were during the Origin period which got him selected. Hes been shithouse since he came back.

yep, apart from throwing the ball to Halasima and saying ‘do some shit’, we had nothing. At least Tuaupiki and Leiataua have some attack

Yeah it was a day out for that group. He missed a bunch of one on one tackles.

The only side in the top 12 who have scored less points than us is the Dogs. I guess we have to accept on days like last night when we ship 24, we're going to find it difficult to win. Sure, we've won a couple of shootouts at 34-30 and so on, but teams will feel if they get to 20+ they can keep us out to win. We just don't have a lot of threats.

To that order, even if Dallin wasn't in career worst form, I'd feel like we need Taine somewhere. Or we have to resolve to defend nearly perfectly each week, as we did with our run at the start of the year
