Rest Easy Matt. I have really enjoyed his input to the forum over the years. Especially trying to figure out all the random nicknames he would give players in his posts without any clue as to who or why. He called it like it was and certainly did not hold back on any one HAHA! He will be missed. Vale Frenzy!

Awful news. He would message me every month and me to him, just to touch base on the state of the NRL, the club and players. Always one to squash a rumour or tell you what he knew.
Wasn't everyones cup of tea, and not everyone will be, but he was ours and he was one of us.
Despite what his post said or may have read, he loved the club, the Sharks, and every mad bastard in here.
Won't be the samee without him. Guarantee he has kicked someone out of an important chair up stairs to get a better view of the TV.
Rest easy, Frenzy. Condolences to his family and friends.

Gutted to hear this news. As a Sharks fan from afar, he’s always been great with me - more often than not we had very similar views about our on-field performances and weaknesses, but more importantly, Matt took the time to message me privately plenty of times of the years, and even offered to host me at his place if/when we got to the GF again so that I could do a fly in/fly out for the GF weekend. Went out of his way to make sure I knew him well enough (as an internat stranger really) to be comfortable staying at his.
This place will be a hell of a lot quieter without him. Very sad news and yet another reminder to live and enjoy each day as they come.

I think all those nick names arose from his disappointments / frustrations at under performing or mediocre players.

Wow I’ve literally just got back from my holiday having a Maccas dinner at the airport and logged on to see what’s going on in this forum and have just seen this thread.

Very, very sad and shocking news. He was so dedicated to this forum and kept things lively. He will be missed in such a big way.

I remember after we won the GF in 2016 he couldn’t get either the Rugby League Week Grand Final Edition or the other rag that was going around at the time. Apparently all sold out wherever he looked. I messaged him and told him I don’t live in Sharks territory and I could mail him one for sure. He said if it wasn’t too much trouble if I could get one for BBB as well as he was in the same situation. Always thinking about his mates. He offered to pay for the magazines and postage and I told him not to worry as he did a lot for the forum and he had well and truly earned it.

Condolences and thoughts to his family and friends. Frenzy may you RIP. A true character on here that will be missed badly.

Speaking with the K-man yesterday and reminiscing on Frenz,
I said
"this place won't die without him, but he certainly kept it alive"

And youse will have to excuse me tonight. I was too in shock to raise a beer for him yesterday so I saved it for tonight, it's also my b'day so I made sure I only have 3 in the fridge so I don't go off the reservation so to speak.

Very saddened to hear.

I didn't know him in the real world, but you really start to appreciate the personalities in here over time.

Obviously a proper Sharks lover. I didn't like the nicknames etc to begin with but he turned out to be one of my favourites.

There were a couple of NRLW games last year (I think) where it was just he and I going back and forth in the thread. I only tune in occasionally to NRLW but he had a good depth of knowledge.

RIP. Will be missed greatly.

Me too.

Also even more thoughts with @Miller was a legend who was with Matt's sister at the time and found the time to keep me up to date on the going ons. His family were hurting and Mills still went out of his way to let me know the details as they ran.
Thanks mate.
Thanks BBB. Frenzy loved this joint and his interactions with everyone. I just wanted the forum members to know asap after family and close friends were advised. This was like a family of insane declared idiots of which he knew he was firmly entrenched lol

Happy birthday mate. What’s it like to keep being 21?

This is shocking news.
Genuinely saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Angry and now Frenzy.

Not trying to hijack this thread - but news like this rocks all of us.
Don’t hate on me, Quigsy…
