Does anyone think Lorenzo might be ready next year if the club goes a different direction with Joash ? Giving a longish extension to Joash kinda forces your hand but have major concerns about his size in the front line and you cant train that .

He is a talent but smaller then Joash. Good sign to go up to cup so early. If he wasn't physically ready complain against men but Lynn gets promoted.

Ryles has shown in 2025 that age is not a factor for him - if you're good enough, and you buy into what he's building, he will pick you.

If he has a strong off-season, and works on building his strength, Lorenzo could well play First Grade on 2026.

I’ve never seen them side-by-side, so my first worry is that they are actually the same bloke. My second worry is that Talataina might also be too small for first grade. But the club obviously thinks they’re worth a shot.

Moses was to be small by previous idiot Parra coaches and we lost to the tigers. Galvin same thing, size was blamed and lost him to Tigers. Jonathan Thurston was ignored because of his size before signing with Dogs. Alfie Langer was Tiny. :so was Sterling.Brian Too is a tiny winger but he’s done ok with 4 comps.

So that list have all turned sort of ok.Or will you argue that those guys aren’t good players with some useless stats?

I haven’t seen Lorenzo play but It’s obvious Ryles rates him to elevate him so quick through the ranks.

The guy that called Moses small (Rod reddy) ended up at the tigers the following year

Must’ve been awkward

Paps and Ponga aren't too big, and they play FB.

Size doesn't matter, or so my wife keeps telling me.

Ponga is a normal size for a fullback. Paps is a little small but exceptional player.
You can carry one small player in your side and generally at fullback. We have Ionghi. Halves is a different thing defense wise. Tatiana looks smaller then Joash and Ionghi. He almost looks Preston Cambell size

And Campbell was able to win a premiership because Penrith’s other half was Gower, who was built like a brick shithouse. As you say, it’s a lot easier to cover one weak defender in the line. Two is nearly impossible. The opposition can target them in successive plays.
