When was the last time an Eels edge forward missed 12 tackles in a game? Can't hold his spot following that inept defensive display

Spot on. I simply don’t understand the Lomax hate. He has had some poor moments for sure. However I think everyone underestimates the threat he poses and how opponents so heavily mark him, which allows JAC more freedom.
TBF to the hate though I get pissed when he shoots out to just wave an arm at the runner. His teammates could do with upping their effort to his level, but also Lomax could do with realising how he got to where is has been by doing the simple shit really well like making 20 hitups, averaging 200m a game. If those 2 things happen then the opportunity to do the spectacular stuff will be more frequent.

probably a fair chance, but like Russell after 50 games over 3 or so seasons, everyone will start taking notice....ah yeah he does go ok.....

Russel is just as slow as ever was. He is hardly turned the corner. He had a good game last week. His defense is good but he never is going to break the line. He is one of the worse attacking centres in the comp easily. Offers basically zero.

Guymer is a worker and thats all. Might become an average player.

That's why we need Averillo, Fifita/Fermor to take these spots and let the likes of Guymer and Russell be squad players.
Russell admittedly has been better than expected but we can and should do better

The other thing I hate are his very late offloads which are almost impossible to throw and we are never ready.
Lastly, he walks off the mark. It's on all the ref's tip sheet and most always get pinged.

Was sitting directly behind these plays and you're 100% correct. The left side attack was very sideways last night, which is probably on Hawkins. The Storm had JAC covered on each of those - you can even see when he scored that his legs only stayed in because he curled them up. Moses tends to straighten as he plays it to his outside men which then straightens them up.
A Fifita/Fermor style player on that left edge would help immensely.
Even a Kautoga. He has as many line breaks this year as Fermor, in fewer games.

Agree 100%, wasn't his greatest defensive game. He had some good moments defensively but some pretty poor ones. But he will learn. It happens with rookies.

Regarding attack, easier for a middle forward to get involved over an edge. And a lot of times Moses isn't hitting Guymer. But he did twice for a try and another where he almost scored. He also had 3 TB. Equal most of all our players.

The kid is going ok. He is 20 years old with 12 NRL games. Give him 50 games before judging his ceiling (I predict he will be a decent NRL player at the minimum)
And for all his missed tackles the Storm only made one line break.
