I'll be disappointed if Accor gets a roof without fixing the actual problem with the venue. There will be a lot of discussion about a roof at Accor over the coming days.
Is there anyone who actually wants that?I'll be disappointed if Accor gets a roof without fixing the actual problem with the venue.
The retractable roof option is being pushed by event promoters. Is there anyone who actually wants that?
Who is asking for it?
Go you good thingLegal challenge launched against Victoria Park.
Queensland Government have suppressed all application of State laws so this is going federal.
This time last year the SMH reported that the business case for a roof at ACCOR was almost finished. Was that ever completed and released?

Pretty sure I remember reading many moons ago that the big steel arch trusses that run along the sidelines in the Accor roof were designed or at least engineered to be able to hold up a fully retractable roof, the only reason it was never installed was cost and a feeling that it wasn't needed.Maybe for accor they should do what they've done at Wembley where the end roof sections retract far back on nice days and to give the grass sunlight to grow on non game days then in inclement weather, or to cover the stage for concerts they can pull them far forward to give full cover to the end stands with a drip line beyond to cover the stage area? Would be much cheaper than a full roof and give the protection from rain fans and artists are looking for.
