I spoke to Tim Watsford at the recent members fan day & he said we signed Daniel Anderson purely to help Shane so he isn’t doing everything
Why did the club management tolerate this ??? Were we operating without a recruitment manager? Again I’d love to sit down with Webby and find out why why why on a raft of issues. So unprofessional or boys club still haunt us ?

This is our injury list. 9 players out of top 30. So in effect we are playing with 21 regular players.

  • Nathan Lawson (Shoulder, Round 23)
  • Toby Couchman (Shoulder, season)
  • Sione Finau (Shoulder, season)
  • Jaydn Su’A (Knee, Round 25)
  • Nick Tsougranis (Ankle, TBC)
  • Ryan Couchman (ACL, Season)
  • Dylan Egan (ACL, Season)
  • Valentine Holmes (Shoulder, Season)
  • Tom Eisenhuth (Concussion, Retired)

The only team doing worst with injuries than us is South with 12 injured players .

So the only game we are expected to win for the rest of the season, is the one against South.

Maybe flano is a control freak and wanted to do it all himself. Somewhat deluded maybe that he could?

We're ranked 12th in the league for attack and defence Possm, equally bad at both.
Yes, and I have been saying to sack both assistants (Young and Carr) and replace them with the Walker Brothers (something completely different).

If the team still dossn't perform, the sack Flanagan.

There are a few others also not technically on the list that have been unavailable most of the year, have come back this week but wont be match fit and god I hope they last the game if picked...... Sele, CT, BMM.. Fifita technically back but barely..

It’s criminal how our recruitment guy sat on his hands & even more that Haran obviously let it happen . He has to go, surely.
Yep, replace them all: Haran, Millard, Millward, Carr, Young and the fitness staff. If things do not improve after this, sack the head coach.

LOL the hiring of a well-respected recruitment manager is evidence of the contrary. It stems from the incompetence and lack of personnel he had to work with at the time

for all of those who want Flanagan sacked, who are you replacing him with?
- Des is leaving Titans next year and oh boy hes doing a good job with their roster thats better than ours
- Dean young? doing such a great job with the defence, even brought dragons defence to the Blues for game 3.
- BA? eels came second last, last year with a squad that makes our look like a pile of shit, not to mention missing finals with a grand final quality side in 2023.
- Kevvy? couldn't get the likes of Staggs, Walsh, Haas, Carrigan and Reynolds higher than our flanagan coached team of superstars last year
- Slater? not interested in nrl

We have a LOT of issues, don't get me wrong.
- our willingness to sit back and wait for opposition to attack us
- lack of speed
- shit kicking game: yes, he picks his son there, but there is no one better, if there was I'd be up in arms about this with the Flano haters.
- Lack of players that can make the meters to get us out of trouble
- team selections and bench usage

with these points in mind how many of them are due to SF?
- Defensive structures? yes, thats on flanagan, but the onus is equally on the heir aparent as well
- team selections and bench usage? yes, but we are observers and not as well equiped as a seasoned nrl coach to make or pass judgement on these decisions.

On to the positives, SF is NOT the issue, he has instilled fight, grit and determination into a bunch of mostly reserve graders to duke it out tooth and nail with the top teams. What we lack is strike and quality players. you could argue that our shit roster is partly inherited and partly to do with SF because he brought some average players here. Who have been our 2 most quality players this year? Gutherson (yes, hes slow but hes carried our attack) and Holmes. Who brought them in? SF, WITHOUT a recruitment manager. Who can blame him? NRL season for us finishes in early september, pre-season starts in November, thats 2 months where flanagan could focus SOLELY on recruitment.

Didn't we make a play at getting Peter O'Sullivan back here?

Lol we just chalked up our 7th win in a season where any chance of making the top 8 was gone weeks ago and you come out with this tripe.

Flanagan (which is the correct spelling - would think if you admired him so much you could learn to spell his surname) is still under a lot of pressure and one measly win doesn't change that.

There are plenty of coaches out there who can and would be doing a much better job with our team and hopefully we will get to see this in practice in the next 12-18 months, we have regressed under this coach and the results show that much and more.

Shane has done a good job all things considered. He is not the problem.
As you say, he along with the leadership of Gutho, Cookie and Val has at the very least made us a team that has grit and determination.
We’ve beaten some of the strongest teams in the comp this year and only been beaten by 13+ twice. Sure that doesn’t mean it’s been a successful season, far from it, but there are some green shoots.
The Flano haters need to zoom out and take the emotion out of it. He’s dragging us out of the cellar, albeit not as fast as we’d all like.
I’m stocked that Flano is our coach and look forward to seeing the doubters all come around slowly but surely.

You and others constantly move the goal posts. Earlier in the year you were hoping we'd make the top 8, that won't happen and apparently there is still 'green shoots' which again is just non tangible nonsense like 'development and growth'.

You want to hang your hat on wins against Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane, as if that is the tell tale sign of improvement?
Great, but how about the losses against some of the worst sides in the competition, we going to pretend that didn't happen?

The facts are, Flanagan like all coaches was employed to get the team winning. In both of his seasons so far we've lost more than we won, so the team is not winning, far from it.

You won't find a coach that has been extended by a club in the modern day after three consecutive seasons with a win loss ratio of less than 50% and Flanagan could very well find himself in that position next season.

Next Season the team has to be in the top 8, no ifs or buts, if that doesn't eventuate, you better get ready to pack his bags for him.

As you say bottom line next year they have to be in the 8 or he is gone ....... If we are in the same situation at half way mark I can see him replaced by our care takers ..........
