I am sure the Coaches will all be be on thin ice after tonight, they are all accountable and maybe a full clean out off everything and everyone is required.

Flanno you aren't doing your job and being a Nrl coach remember its not under 10s boys .
Your son needs to move on completely to superleague or your judgement with coaching will be lost for ever in the Nrl .

Great news.

Got the best out of the squad, introduced some young bulls, reduced the lopsided scores, competitive with the top 4 will massive injuries and signed Klem who has been excellent.

Missed out on May however, Klem playing better the RCG, question mark on him due Dessie add the Manly bloke.

Would have liked to see him using Finue more but that's his call. Also, could have kept JDB due the long term injuries to the younger ones.

A few games going our way and we are in the 8 so, happy to see him extended.

Wow can’t believe your board fell for the dead cat bounce.

Well I’m happy they did when he’s pulling in players the calibre of Dan Atkinson and Josh Kerr to the Club. Lol.

Poor Dargon supporters….

Vindicated and much deserved. This bloke will take us to where we should have been.
Not afraid to to make tough decisions, good man management and has stuck to his style of coaching that instills belief in players to call their own shots when needed ( aka the defensive effort in the last 8 mins against the minnows)
All year this team has put together some great tries something a long time missing, yeah there has been some defensive lapses....bloody roosters and I look forward to the day when revenge will be a total demolition.

They were wooden spoon favourites at beginning of the season. They lost 4 games by 1 or 2 points. In one loss they scored more tries than the opposition but goal kicking lost the game. We are short a specialist half back and at least 1 representative level prop forward. Would any other coach being only in their 2nd year in a new club with the roster he has done any better? I’m giving him 9/10.

Entitled to you opinion but never thought we had a wooden spoon squad, despite our weekness in certain positions that you highlight, this base line makes out we over achieved and despite some notable efforts and admirable wins ..I’m not sure we did..

That has been the case for way to many years for my liking and nothing seems to change. I am getting annoyed now listening to that excuse. That is why their expectations are so low and they see avoiding the spoon as success. Not making finals 1 or 2 years is a failure. But 7 years now, that is crisis mode. Something needs to chance in 2026.

The Roosters and Panthers were not tipped to make the finals this year and with all the players they lost they had every reason not to. But to their credit they never seem to have that intention to waste a season and use it as an excuse. Saints however are happy to use that excuse the last 5-6 years. So much so the fans are happy now just to miss out on the spoon. I wish the Saints Board were like the Roosters and Panthers.

I think the club is changing, starting with the juniors
I do note that the dynasty clubs all have one thing in common, a long-term coach.

I will know the club has regained its Mojo if I'm still reading the "Sack Flanno" thread in 2036

There are defintely positive signs of change in the head office and pathways - unfortunately we're still paying for a decade and more of atrocious management and f&*king hell they dug one heck of a hole. 7 years of not playing finals is disgraceful.
I keep hoping next year will be the year the tide finally turns but its hard to get excited about '26 if we don't pick up a quality half and a qualityv prop before the season starts .........

I feel since Lancaster has taken the reins, better decisions are being made that is for sure and glad he is staying 3 more years. There have been more positive changes of late than bad, especially with Daniel Anderson coming on board as a recruitment manager.

I am just hoping next year this time we are looking forward to seeing the red V play in the finals on the back of a team full of local juniors like the Dragons in 2010 - Nighty, BMoz, Cooper, Gaz, Hornby, Young, Creagh, Merrin, Prior....wow.
