Man a little bummed bailey wants out. In all the games hes played for us hes put in the effort and taken some tough runs out of our own half. Isnt bad in defence nor offensively and I cant imagine hes getting paid much. A player like bailey is by no means a star but a role player for cheap - all clubs could use.

I suspect he’s not that cheap. He’d be in the top 17 salaries for sure. My guess is around the average NRL top 30 salary of $400k.

The eels have tapped a few players on the shoulder advising they need to move on. We have 29 players signed out of 30 next year. We want to make more signing but need players to move on. They are hoping that both Matterson and Hand secure contracts for next year in England or another NRL team to have two spots available for next year. As they cannot only rely on this, they are tapping the shoulders of other top 30 players.
