I don't think we could afford him and I don't think he'd come to us anyway.
I'm pretty happy with what we have coming on next year in our backs.

You can tell little may is a bit f**ked up mentally. I actually feel sorry for him in that regard. Footy success or not the main thing is he lives a happy life.

I've got a feeling that the May lads have had a tough childhood.
You can detect fire in all their bellies when they are interviewed or on social media.
They could have been exposed to someone being overly aggressive towards the lads growing up.
It may also have something to do with not having great role models or mixing in with the wrong crowd.
I think all of them have stuffed up at some stage in their lives and now they have turned the corner.
Stay solid boys and try to surround yourselves with nice people who have high standards.
I can't wait for the Brisbane Meet and Greet Function next year because if they are all there I'd love to chat with them and to tell them I/we appreciate them.

Mate - I watched one of the podcasts where the Dad was interviewed. He called it old school discipline.

At the same time they seem to all get along and be close.

I think most of us on this forum were raised in an era when we got smacked or got the belt and at school we got the cane.
We all had dinner at the table and said Grace and every morsel on the table was consumed. Dinner time was great because we all talked.
We were raised by a heavy hand, but if you towed the line, you got more pats on the backs than whacks.

There is no way I was disciplined like the May boys and there is no way I disciplined my kids like the May boys. My kids aren't much younger than the May kids as well.

I'm not trying to be too judgemental either but I don't think that discipline is anything other than abuse and it isn't good.
