To be honest, when I come in and look at LU, which is less frequent than previously, and see that the last posts to about 5 subjects are Pousicles, and if looking further there may be 5 seperate responses to one subject, it’s boring and repetitive.

Don’t think anyone reads and discusses things and needs to have reams of “ look at how smart I think I am “ continuously. Opinions are fine, but so many irrelevant replies are off putting. Seriously, most of the time , less is more.

I will say this and say it again. We would be absolutely mad to not sign Wishart.
He can play anywhere and be just as good anywhere.
Keeping Pezet out shows how much the Storm value him.
Was just thinking that.

But I assume you want him as a half. I think he wouId be perfect as our lock / middle half, once Walker retires. That role is as important, if not more so! The role is made for him!

Not necessarily as a half but as mentioned he honestly can play anywhere.
13, 7, 6, 9, 14, 3, 4, 2, 5...
He can play anywhere and would never let you down

Wishart would be good option to cover 13 and 9. Then we wouldn’t need to carry a hooker on the bench plus walker as a small ball playing forward.

The games tonight highlight what we need to compete at that level

1. A decent prop to gain distance
2.An edge backrower who can threaten the defence
3. Obviously a decent 5/8
4. A centre with speed and some ability to break the line

Games were quick and showed how far we need to progress, not insurmountable but some necessary upgrades until juniors come through.

YES they have been active and knicked 3 kids in last few weeks as are in rebuild mode . They also unearthed C.Mcelan + Patea who are extremely talented while Blaize is slowly coming along nicely. All 20yrs old or less

Saints are being active also. They took 2 of Penrith best 16ylds.
Tigers have some great kids
Dogs are stocking up
Raiders are stacked

We have a war chest. We should be the ones cherry picking
Not sure if McLean is a ball hog or just doesn’t know how to pass to his winger.

Also need to look at the signings, like look at the panthers signings. It's 2, young halves...:.we don't need that. We have Fletcher 18 and Lorenzo 19 both better and locked up, plus Risati just behind them...

Who is the third panthers signing?

Look at the Dragon signings, 2, 17 year old twins for 2 years. One is coming off a acl. One is a back rower, we already have one the best 17 year old back rowers Polley, plus one of the best 18 year old back rowers Petrus, plus one of the best 19 year old back rowers Funa...

Wests have been pretty average in the juniors, recently nothing compared to us

Who do you think is highly rated at the dogs that is better then what we have, apart from Woods?

Who is highly rated at the raiders that is better then what we have?

Let's see what quality comes from this bunch of young stars. I keep my fingers crossed it's a better crop than Russel,Penisni,Dunster,JA,Schneider.... All hyped up junk

He missed ten tackles today. He’s a good attacking player, and young enough to improve his defence, but they’d have to be no chance of winning the comp this year with him in the defensive line. Can he play fullback? He’d have to be better at taking bombs than Edwards.
Yet when Joash misses just as much, you defend him endlessly. Can you see why that frustrates people? Or are you going to argue about this as well?

Interestingly, Joash missed 8 against the Raiders. They obviously identified a game plan that targeted those 2 young vulnerable 5/8’s. Brooks missed 6 against them 2 weeks ago. Good coaching.

And interestingly Strange missed 5 tackles just recently against the lowly placed Knights.....

Then there was Strange's 8 missed tackles against the tigers.....also the 6 missed against the Storm...5 against Manly...

Oh in Strange's 4th NRL game (round 3 last year), he missed 9 tackles! If he was an eel, fans would have called for his dropping there! Then there is Sharks 6, dragons 6, dogs 6...

Looks like Strange is also vulnerable to being targeted! As expected with young halves..,

Anyhow it makes Joash defensively efforts seem ok considering his experience and transition to a new position....at least his 8 missed tackles were against the minor premiers (and not saying he is anywhere comparable to strange)

Wishart is an absolute gun. I can’t see him leaving Storm though. He is a stalwart you build a side around he is smart upstairs, robust and dangerous in every position he plays.
