Think about this for a millisecond, Tigers unde a new CEO/Hof have recruited strongly, Richo can be a blowhard in the press but somehow gets things done. Moves players on and strikes in the market. The Dogs/Dolphins and others are far more decisive, that’s what is a problem , passive and reluctant to recruit hard. If it’s due to previous poor contractual decisions, think where that starts.
Eight blokes from tonight’s win weren’t at the club last year. Plus Kautoga is in our top 17. The club has recruited plenty of players. To say they haven’t is just wrong.

Can someone explain the point of this post?

It's like your trying to tell me the sky is blue and th grass is green.

Not trying to be rude but so far most of your posts are just explaining what most people already know.
They don't add much to the discussion.
The point is that recruiting the best squad isn’t as easy as you merkins seem to think it is, because as @Gronk pointed out, every club is trying to improve its roster.

Notice, he defends anything and everything for some reason, how do other clubs sign elite players even when they are at the bottom end of the table. Oh yes, they pay overs etc, perhaps they haven’t extended middle of the road players on crazy money and years. Somehow we have to find a way to compete, not accept a standard that defies our size and support base. Sign good players in positions of need, effective and the examples remain Dogs, Tigers , and others, unfortunately we don’t.
We are closer to a grand final than both those clubs. We were in one less than three years ago.

Penrith aren't a rich club either I can tell you that first hand either are the Raiders and they have learnt how to be successful as you explained.

Roosters even being a rich club and being able to buy whoever they want understand your juniors is how you build long term success and have junior programs everywhere.. and if you think they are paying full freight for their programs then you don't understand how to do business.
Actually you’ll find these pathways programs are very expensive, especially when you have a large full time staff. We have finally done this at our club, whereas the likes of Melbourne and Easts have been doing it for decades. Volunteers trying to get local kids to try out for SG Ball isn’t how the big clubs operate.

I blame the fans who continue to attend with their blind faith, eels fans are dopes and management know that, hence no change….if people voted with their feet maybe u would see change
Boo hoo merkin. I drove three hours to tonight’s game with my young bloke and it was f**king awesome. I even won on the punt. Thanks for voting with your feet though.

Never be the guy who starts a sentence with "Actually" it's a deadset giveaway.

Anyone who thinks Jason Ryles, or even Brad Arthur before him, had no say in which players came or left the club is kidding themselves. The coach sets the style of play and identifies the type of players needed. Recruitment and retention simply look at who’s available and present the options,it’s the coach who gives the final tick.
