Favourite Ozzy quote is re the decline of Black Sabbath in the mid-70s -

"We went from a Rock n Roll band who dabbled in drugs to junkies who dabbled in Rock n Roll"

The look on Sharon's face when Ozzy says "What A Load Of Bollocks" is priceless and the end of that clip is cut and Olivia says What Did He Say ? and Sharon says something like dont even try to ask Olivia, that bit starts at 8min 40 secs on this clip.

PS the whole clip is worth watching about Olivia even before it gets to the health drink part with Ozzy.

Entitled "Typical Bloody Typical".

I love the 60's psychedelic guitar and vibe of this, they obviously listened to a bit of Tame Impala who kicked off (rebooted) that whole 60's sound with a modern twist.

Fun Fact -

For the whole of September 1977, two of the top five records in the UK singles chart were French electronic instrumentals - "Oxygene Part IV" by Jean-Michel Jarre and "Magic Fly" by Space.
Everything in moderation. This is the last time I'll report on BBC 4 TOTP repeats. Tonight's edition dated from August 1977 and featured both of the above-mentioned records.

Best by far was the Adverts with "Gary Gilmore's Eyes". TV Smith, full of beans, enacting his angry young geek shtick. Gaye Advert sultry and reserved in leather jacket and panda-eye make-up. She set many a heart aflutter among the spiky tops.

Elvis had recently died and "Way Down" was the highest new entry at number 4. The Floaters were number 1 with "Float On". Quite a few parodies of this song, none of them as funny as the original.

BIG Human League fan. Personally I've got a huge crush on Jo but Susan is stunning as well.
There were two underground electronic classics released in 1978 by British artists. Being Boiled by Human League and Warm Leatherette by The Normal.

Often forgotten how much hostility the new Human League line-up initially faced in 1981. Sense of betrayal was comparable to Dylan and Bolan going electric. One purist of my acquaintance was especially indignant after seeing the girls on Top of the Pops.

Heaven 17 were regarded as the true torchbearers. They inherited most of the League's existing fanbase. Major surprise when Sound of the Crowd became a much bigger hit than We Don't Need This Fascist Groove Thang.

The one thing listening to The Sound Of The Crowd while driving today was how much electronica feeling was in the song as i had not heard it for ages.

While all the The titles were playing in the car today, this song by ABBA came up also, The Visitors, ABBA by this time in 1982 were completing waning everywhere but this song was way ahead of its time. The album of the same name did hit no 1 in the UK but this song as a single was never released, There is no official film clip to the song but to me this was a masterpiece and should have opened up a whole new audience to ABBA.
