Looks like it's the end of one of most loved and respected group and music artists of all time. Jeff Lynne has had to cancel his remaining sold out concerts due to ill health.

Is there a reason you picked1970 Horrie? Thats the year I was born.

No reason really, it just popped up on you tube when i was looking at something else and thought what a time capsule song and artist wise, a few i didn't know, some artists with other hits rather than their more main stream hits of the time and of course quite a few that are also on playlist and IPOD at home.

Do you know which records were top of the Australian charts while you were busy being born?

My zodiac sign on the UK charts had A Whiter Shade of Pale as the number 1 single and Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band as the number 1 album. Not bad.

Good stuff. I was born Aug 31 1970 so that means I was conceived sometime in Dec 1969. I like to think I'm one of the last things to come out of the 60s.

Miraculously enough, Elvis was top of the UK singles chart on August 31st 1970 with "The Wonder Of You". Then again, could just be coincidence.
