What a shame we didn't have a few more wins and scrape into the 8......I reckon we could have ambushed a few teams in the finals like we did in 2000....

Almost as long as the Timana Tahu try in 2010 against Manly.Does the NRL keep a record of longest tries in the game? Fox has to have come close lost night he set off from about 2m from the dead ball line.
We have become the nuisance side of the competition for those teams in the 8.What a shame we didn't gave a few more wins and scrape into the 8......I reckon we could have ambushed a few teams in the finals like we did in 2000....
With subtitles onBut it was funny
The players and the coach must've checked outWe have become the nuisance side of the competition for those teams in the 8.
Has that ever happened before when we have missed the finals but actually stirred the pot.
3 times in the past 6 weeks and potentially the make-up of the 8 teams we have beaten.
Most years we miss the finals were limping to the end.
Let's keep it going V Knights and it's an exciting off season. We're likely to be sitting around the bottom of the 8 still but that's better than where we were 12 months ago. It’s crazy to think we are only 1 win behind the dolphins and manly who are/were still a shot of finals this weekend.
If Moses plays 3-4 more games this year we play finals.
when you consider we should have won against the sharks and dolphins in back to back games if it weren’t for some horrible ref calls (and no Moses), I have no doubt we would have played or been still in the running to play
Marata went home because Alan Bond called.I'm sure Marata moved home owing to needing help which family could provide.
You and me both, he seemed MUCH quicker than I realised. Webby said in his presser that they (The Warriors) shouldn’t have been in that position because they played really well, they led every stat but Parra have so much speed they’ve turned defence into tries so quickly it’s very difficult to contain. That try from Paulo's offload was brilliant - I knew he was quick, but I didn't know he was "slow down to a trot, look for support, nobody there, screw it - I'm backing myself to run around the fullback going from trot to full pace" fast..that was sublime.
Love to see it.
And he's great mingling with kids, and fans, too.
Love the Foxx.
It didn’t just hurt that Moses was out for so long, it was also the timing. We started the year with so many new combinations, inexperienced players (and then losing lomax in the lead up to origin when he was in good form). It’s crazy to think we are only 1 win behind the dolphins and manly who are/were still a shot of finals this weekend.

Adam O'Brien's last game as coach in the NRL.Another milestone another win
Who's turn next week ?
Someone must be playing their 25th ....or 20th NRL match..
I hope he learns that support play is so importantiongi has the potential to be elite. One of the best attacking weapons in the game. Once he gets another off season of strength training in...look out.
His support play is what I’ve been most impressed with from him in the last couple of weeks.I hope he learns that support play is so important
In the past, i think he wanted to be the hero. The one who throws the cutout. The one who does the tip on. The one who dummies and run.
Hero plays but low percentage
But then noone was backing up the breaks
How far did Tahu run though. Sounds like it was a combined effort. Recovery J Hayne, Return J Hayne, pass j Hayne reception T Tahu, run by T Tahu, try T Tahu.Almost as long as the Timana Tahu try in 2010 against Manly.
When Hayne got the ball like 2-3m away from the in-goal and beat 6 players then passed to Tahu to run away and score.

Interesting comment given how some well-regarded poster thinks we lack speed. You and me both, he seemed MUCH quicker than I realised. Webby said in his presser that they (The Warriors) shouldn’t have been in that position because they played really well, they led every stat but Parra have so much speed they’ve turned defence into tries so quickly it’s very difficult to contain.
PS Webby I think is a very clever coach, he speaks very well.
Yeah. I was pissed at the game where we made i think 3 breaks but no one supported and we didn't even score. I think it was the souths gameHis support play is what I’ve been most impressed with from him in the last couple of weeks.
There were multiple times in the Souths game that you’d expect the fullback to be trailing the bloke with the ball, and given the closeness of that one, it could’ve been the difference between winning and losing. I wonder if Ryles or someone else gave him a bit of a talk afterwards to stress the importance of backing up in support, because it looks like it’s been a conscious thing. Whatever the case, if it’s showing the signs of a quick learner, that can only be a good thing.
