Roosters v Souths prices are crazy high
Category 1 Adult is $105, the same seats at CBus for Titans v Tigers is $103.95, Eels v Knights is $100 and for Dragons v Panthers is $149.78.

Category 4s are $47.50 for adults and $38.70 (GC), $35 (Parra) & $35 (Wollongong).

Going to a game is pricey. At least Roosters game means something and is at a good ground.

Cat 1 locations are almost going to the roof on east

So if they sold 45,000 tickets to a stadium that holds 40,000 but only 39,000 turn up, is that a sell out?
Provided they remain seated for the full 80 minutes, purchase a drink and or food, participate in cheering ( excluding Mexican wave) and present a signed copy of ticket stub with photo ID upon exit.

What about golden point? Can they get up and stretch their legs?

Same seats at Suncorp are $189 for this Thursday (or would be if they weren't sold out).

$105 seems perfectly reasonable.

Allianz update for Friday night:
- Level 1 North and Level 1 South both virtually sold out (~4,000 people)
- Level 1 and 2 East and Level 1 and 2 West both virtually sold out (including Amex Garden, which is sold out) (~16,000 people)
- <2,000 tickets remaining Level 2 North and Level 2 South (~4,000 people)
- 7 bays open on Level 4 East, selling two-thirds back in some bays (~2,000 people)

So to summarise - I think we are comfortably over 26,000 tickets sold (note I have no read on how many members are turning up on Level 4 West), trending nicely to a crowd around 35,000.

The Roar have an article suggesting a crowd of 35,000 for Roosters vs Rabbitohs at Allianz on Friday night:

Depending on what Canterbury and Cronulla draw on Saturday, it could be the fourth biggest regular season crowd in Sydney this year.

Also a fun fact - the AFL Attendances website has NRL crowd records dating back to 1957. If the Roosters and Rabbitohs draw more than 32,500, it would be the one of the top ten biggest regular season crowds between the two clubs in that ~70 year span. Of those top ten crowds, four will have been set in the past four years at the new Allianz Stadium (41,906 in 2022, 36,639 in 2023 and 37,594 in 2024). That’s a strong endorsement of the new stadium.

It's infuriating how incompetent our management is that we're not playing out of Allianz.

I'm sure you will be by 2031.

Then it's about see what the Govt will do about Stadium Australia and if we can get another club to share that ground. Really the only clubs left to share are Wests and the Dragons which make sense, and I don't see either doing that. But our biggest ground deserves to be better than what it currently is.

Well we're not going anywhere for another 5 years.

Solly is all bluster - signed the contract and then has buyers remorse.

If we leave Homebush, it'll be an even bigger white elephant, with only the Bulldogs 10 games a year played there. No way the government willingly does that.

It's the clubs fault.

Unfortunately, a lot of the supporters have aged out, young Rabbitohs fans don't want to go there - proof is in the numbers, our supporter based has mentally checked out of there.

But we're stuck with it.

There are plenty of other events that get played there. An origin, semi finals, big soccer games, large concerts, big union games depending on who they play.

And with the Rabbits probably moving on, it makes sense to put it back on the table at around that time to get that stadium improved, it will be over 30yrs old in 2030. Couple of years to build/rework while Souths and Dogs play elsewhere before a new improved stadium is provided.

If doggies can maintain or grow crowds Accor is ok with those kinds of crowds in

Its when it’s under 10k that’s it’s awful

With the lower bowl full the atmosphere starts becoming decent

Other than event games its the doggies home ground now

Honestly having been to too many Dogs games, under 15k is terrible. Only starts being decent at 20k. It's a bloody hard stadium to make a great atmosphere in.
