Having re-watched round 15 Bulldogs v Souths this is what I think they will do :

Sexton halfback
Galvin five-eighth
Burton to left centre
Kiraz in to mark Coates
Tuala or Wilson to drop out
Turpin to the bench to relieve Hayward
Bench: Toupounua ; Mann ;Turpin ; Hayes or Curran ;
We might see that great move from round 15 dusted off for this game. The one where Sexton dummies to kick , a defender backs off , then Kiraz gets an inside ball instead before Sexton takes the return pass to score. That was sweet.

Storm extended bench says that there will be big shuffle come game day. That bench is putrid something has to give

The whole storm 1-17 is pretty plod I have no idea why they keep Faalongo if they see him as 3rd/4th choice fullback, surely hed want to move on too. Word is around that Pezet will start and Wishart back to the bench, Howarth will start with Chan back to the bench for Garlick.

Think both teams lineup becomes clearer at the 19 man cut off tonight

faalongo should be ahead of Meaney but I guess goal kicking keeps Meaney in the squad

I say worse shit about the tigers then any poster on this forum

Weird logic you have, support a shit team can’t comment on any other teams. Guess you haven’t been talking footy before last year, oh wait your a dogs fan, checks out
Don’t worry, one of the apprentices at my work is an avid Penrith fan (started supporting them 5 years ago) but he’s adamant he knows more about footy than you because Penrith 4 in a row blah blah

I’m a bit betwixt and between with trying to predict this one. I had a close look at the Bulldogs v Sharks match from last week and the Bulldogs defence was great for the first 25 minutes. The Sharks were incredibly impressive for the whole game and their forwards were sensational , especially Hazeltown and Talakai when they came off the bench. This was the best overall forward performance from any team that I’ve seen this year.

The Bulldogs did very well to limit the Sharks to 4 tries , with one coming from a Tracey error from a kick return. But the Bulldogs’ attack remained a problem with the main threats being a Preston edge run or a left foot step from Burton.

With both coaches playing ducks and drakes we won’t know the run on teams until an hour before kick off. And in this match I think the selections will determine the winner. I can see where Bellamy is coming from with Meaney to fullback. Without Paps they need a bit of extra zing from fullback to exploit a likely novice Bulldogs left edge. And if Burton plays left centre he can be a bit vulnerable to a good stepper and his kicking game might not be as effective.

With Munster at five eighth they have an extra kicker with Grant , Wishart and Pezet(when he’s on the field) to launch cross field bombs or just little dinky little kicks to Coates and Warbrick. Kiraz can do a job defending these against Coates but Warbrick is almost as good as Coates in the air with his extensive AFL background. And Katoa presents yet another aerial threat to the Bulldogs.

If Grant and Meaney play well I think the Storm will win. If Burton plays well the Bulldogs are a chance. All depends how the Bulldogs recover from the physical hammering from the Sharks last week.

Without a great deal of confidence due to the run on teams remaining a mystery at this point in time:

Storm by 2.
Other stuff I noticed watching the Bulldogs v Sharks replay:

Hayward and Preston did a great job containing Brailey’s darts from dummy half limiting him to only one decent run .

Toupounua got away with 2 knee lifts with 11min50secs remaining in the first half and 7min22secs remaining in the 2nd half.

The Bulldogs got away with 5 obvious forward passes (Salmon x 2 ,Galvin x 2 and Burton.) Galvin threw one to Kikau who was almost a metre in front of him with 30min55secs remaining in the 1st half. Strangely play on . Hazelton then throws a flat pass in the 2nd half which was ruled forward. Classic refereeing.

Dogs have looked very suspect - so naturally expect Storm to get it done
