Where we are different is that I think it’s unethical to own more than one house. There’s other places you can invest without exacerbating housing affordability. Buy some cheap shitcoins or something.

I also don’t think it’s good that the house I live in (and every other house) keep increasing in price. What’s going to happen when my kids grow up and need somewhere to live.

Saying it’s “unethical” to own more than one house is just naive and borderline anti-democratic. People bust their guts working, take on debt, make sacrifices, and should be free to invest in property if they want to. It’s not some moral crime—it’s how wealth has been built for generations.

And this idea that house prices shouldn’t go up is just silly. That’s the whole point of owning an asset—you want it to appreciate. If you’re worried about your kids, then downsize when the time comes and hand them a chunky deposit. Problem solved. But don’t sit there and tell others they’re wrong for making smart choices while you float around in idealistic nonsense.
