Banks making record profits that are more than necessary to cover risk, operations, and a fair return for shareholders, all at the expense of customers, especially low-income ones and mortgagors is also disgusting.
Sorry for coming back to here, but also fair return to shareholders. When you actually pull apart who owns these banks, a fair chunk is owned by Australian public because a massive portion are owned by retail super funds. We definitely lose some overseas and to directors with large golden parachutes (but hey… record profits it’s hard to argue they’re aren’t doing a good job) and of course HNWP will hold greater portion, but those profits make are the large contributors to general public retirement outside of the tax system and home ownership

They played this morning.

Everyone on here was whinging 3 days ago about the pou bash-a-thon on here.

Lets move on to other topics

What else are we supposed to talk about.

Vossy talked about the game on his show this morning on SEN breakfast and he talks about the Super League a fair bit on his show.

I know for a fact a lot of posters on here are actually fascinated how Leeds go in the finals this year.

Can BA prove once and for all he can win a comp with a professional sporting team.

Or will they get bundled out in the finals just like Parramatta did under his tenure.

Its as exciting as the NRL finals.
I'm more interested to see if he gets a bus this time

But i do admit i watch the Wigan highlights. I like bev

No doubt super funds benefit from banks’ super-profits, but isn't that just a transfer from households to shareholders?
If they shave 0.5% off the NIM their profits fall to a 7–8% ROE. Sure, dividends dip, but the average mortgage holder is about $3k a year better off. Scrap the junk fees (worth about 10% of bank profit) and that’s another $350 a year back per household, with barely any impact on dividends or share prices.
Even after both cuts, the Big Four would still be clearing close to $20B a year in profit. Hardly a disaster, just less gouging and more cash invested back into the economy.

I am finding that the great finish to the regular season then not making the finals just makes things more painful. I don't see myself watching any of the finals.
We didn't deserve to play Finals footy and I'm OK with that. I'm going to watch the Finals to see what we can expect next year.....amirite?

Off topic: Charlie Sheen (an Eels fan) was on Joe Rogan Experience in the last 24 hrs. He looks very well (I had though he was near death). He seems like a champion bloke actually. I am only 30m in but it is a good episode.

I had no idea he was an Eels fan. How did you find that out? And how did he get into league / Parra?

Some fucjer doubted me when I said Pezet will play 7 tonight and it’s a good chance to check him out if he’s a genuine star in a big game. He said blah blah they’ll play Wishart.

Anyway. Ha. I was right.
